new thread means we move up in age groups.

so going forward the only 96 players we bring up are U21 Euro ones and 97 we should continue with them until we see if we make the Olympics or not. If we fail, than no more 97 coverage it goes to the dev thread.

glad to see 00-Lungwitz go to 2BL and Hack should have been loaned out this season to 2BL not sure why Hoff didn't. FCN is a good move whether permanent or loan.

looks like the Schlotterbeck bros signed long term contracts with Freiburg!!!

    Some 3rd Liga movements

    99-Hauptmann to Zwickau

99-Karweina, W/CF saved himself from relegation as another 3rd Liga club picks him up. Did well enough for Lotte last season.

97-Sicker from Kiel joins Karweina, makes some career progress after most of his career has been RL. Curious why he was never given more chances. His career 2BL stats are 2 assists in 4 games.

    U17 Championship Semis Leg 1.

Koln U17 beat Bayern U17, 1-0. Goal scored in 17th min by Thielmann and Assist by Obuz.
Game was ruined by 04 striker Kabadayi getting a straight red in 34th min.

Lots of interesting players from both sides, I'm curious to see who will make it as pros in a few years.
Kainz - Bruckner (70. Denk), Lawrence (54. Reinelt), Hofmann, Herold (64. Motika) – Fust (46. Neziri) – Halbich, Rhein, Gunther - Kabadayi, Tillman

Adamczyk - Sponsel, Ornek, Dahmen, Lanser - Papalia, Schwirten (75. Schmid) - Thielmann (69. Castrop), Wirtz (90. Alkan), Obuz - Jansen Ja. (54. Özden)

like 13/30 players used from both sides are 03 and younger.

Koln's golden boy Wirtz hit the crossbar, while Tillman had few chances to score. Rhein and Gunther also should have scored while being 10 men.

Meanwhile Dortmund U17 essentially sealed their place with a 4-1 win over Wolfsburg U17. Looks like 03-Semic injured himself in the game.

Goals scored by Moukoko X2 (also had an assist), Knauff, Amedick while Wolfsburg was by Friederichs.

interesting to note the recent use of a new 03 by Dortmund besides Semic, Lutke-Frie, Gencoglu (injured), as they've been using
03-El-Zein who played 36 min in last match of the season and scoring on his U17 debut. And today was a sub in the trashing win playing 10 min.

also to note while Tillman played for Bayern the Koln upped player Lemperle was MIA.

But who are the biggest talents in the FC squad? Who should get the coals out of the fire on Wednesday at Bayern?
    1-Florian Wirtz
The name Florian Wirtz is now electrifying the young talent area throughout Germany. Only a month ago, the boy from Brauweiler 16 years old, but he has long been considered the biggest talent at FC. Not Noah Katterbach, but two years younger, attacking midfielder shoots for years in the FC jersey everything apart in the youth leagues. Observers described him on GBK demand as a typical street footballer, but associated with runner strength. Wirtz played, after a serious muscle injury in the first round, a strong back round and was involved not only directly or indirectly in most of Cologne gates. He also ran the most miles in most games, presenting himself not only as a creative offensive player. The U-national player plays in the U17 next to Joshua Schwirten in a 4-3-3 on the double eight and should set in Munich again for the accents on the offensive.

    2-Jacob Jansen
In front of and next to Wirtz shine a number of top talents this season, which would have wished many other junior teams in Germany. Jacob Jansen made 18 goals this season. The fact that Tim Lemperle was drawn up after ten matches to the second round of the U19, shows that in addition to Jansen also more offensive forces were among the top players in the league. Jansen in the center, Jan Thielmann as right winger and Marvin Obuz as left winger were behind Dortmund's Moukoko show the hottest assault series of the season West. The trio (especially the German U17 national team Obuz and Thielmann) is considered a promising offensive division at FC - not only for the U17, but also in a year for the U19.

    3-Maiko Sponsel
One of the biggest upstarts this season was Maiko Sponsel. As right-back he secured his side behind Thielmann, but supported him as it were on the offensive. The 17-year-old is certified by the FC managers a big leap in development, mainly due to its speed and physical maturity and power. The strong duo made it together with the remaining defense of Geissböcke, despite the offensive orientation of the team of coach Martin Heck, only allow 22 goals, and thus to put behind Dortmund, the second best defensive in the league. Also on this strength hope the Geissböcke in a duel with Bayern Munich.

    4-Daniel Adamczyk
Finally, it will also depend on a strong goalkeeping performance. The two German U17 national goalkeepers Vincent Friedsam and Daniel Adamczyk took turns this season and trained again and again in the pros. Adamczyk was even on Mallorca in the professional training camp show in January and will also be in the semifinals for the German championship in goal, as Friedsam saw in the last season season match against Leverkusen the red card. U16 national goalkeeper Jonas Urbig will be sitting on the bench - so FC are in the best position on goalkeeping.
    https://geissblog.koeln/2019/06/moukoko-hype-welche-u17-talente-stechen-beim-fc-heraus/

Wirtz, Lemperle, Obuz, Thielmann, Adamczyk, Sponsel, Papalia, Schwirten, Jacob Jansen are interesting players. Not going to bring up other 03s besides Wirtz as he's the only regular starter.

will be curious to see how they do in U19 next season joining up with the 01s. And who makes the 1st team of Koln from this bunch. Hopefully numerous ones make it.

I find the Lemperle (W), Thielmann (W/CF), Wirtz (creative and dribbling AM), Jacob Jansen (CF) and Obuz (W) an interesting bunch. Would be hard to see Koln letting them separate and losing them post U19.

Stuttgart very close to that youth double, only failed due to a straight red.

VfB youth convinced - real opportunities under Walter?

Previously, the Stuttgart had impressively demonstrated, however, why in the country behind closed doors already terms like a golden generation in the mouth. Among the flagships of the Swabians include the two midfielders Per Lockl and Nick Bätzner, who came up in the game against Borussia with some excellent passes into the defensive interfaces of the opponent. Exactly that determination and accuracy of fit went down the pros at the Bundesliga relegated almost completely in the past season.

Also, the attack of the professional team was at last anything but a glorious page. The closer one observes in the Swabian land therefore the development of the only 18-year-old storm Jewel Leon Dajaku, who had also succeeded in the final defeat a hit. On sight, however, Lilian Egloff are probably the biggest opportunities for a breakthrough in the professionals admitted. At the tender age of just 16, the playmaker is already a mainstay and radiates a sense of self-evidentness that is second to none in his class.

Since the strong performances arouse desires, the squad planners of the VfB around sporting director Thomas Hitzlsperger and Sven Mislintat are now extremely demanding. The supporters of the Stuttgart hope that the management board of the VfB will also follow the promises, in the future, the permeability of their own talents to the professionals to follow action

An organic structure of the promising talents from the coming season is made more difficult by the descent of the second team in the league. For players of the quality class of an Egloff, Dajaku and Lockl the prospect of encounters against teams such as the FSV Bissingen and the FV Ravensburg should not just cause raptures.

In order not to scare off the supposed stars of tomorrow, the Stuttgart therefore should have some lending to clubs from the third league and the Regionalliga in the house. Under some circumstances, the best of the best can hope for promotion to the pros. With Tim Walter finally takes over this summer a head coach the helm, which has been a proven expert in the grinding of rough diamonds since his time as a youth coach at Bayern Munich.
In this case, the youngster in this case, the descent of the first team in the second division to advantage, it should be much easier to give young players a chance than in the midst of the relegation battle in the Bundesliga. Also regarding the impending separation of identification figures like Christian Gentner the squad would be a refresher with players from their own offspring good face.

I mean why RL or 3rd Liga loans. You could loan players to another 2BL club or buyback. I'm sure Walter still has Kiel contacts.

will be curious to see what happens to
00-Hottmann, Batzner, Morais, Alonso, Mack, Kleinhansl
01-Hornung, Aidonis, Dajaku, Lockl, Grimm, Mistl (all U19 eligible next season, best thing for them is Stuttgart II get promotion after 1 season in OL).
02-Egloff (only 02 playing with U19, rest are next season).
Although 02-Munst played 2 U19 Sud/Sudwest games and was bench in Championship Run. While striker 02-Hummel 1 goal in 1 game in U19 Sud/Sudwest, last game of the season and was bench player as well in Championship run.

also 98-Tomic and 99-O.Wahling deserve better than OL next season they did well for relegated Stuttgart II in RL.

sheesh, looks like Fortuna doesn't know what they are doing with lyoha. Headed for 3 loans in 3 years.

Aue explains since January over and over again that the club would like to keep the offensive man and even commit firmly. For the FCE would even reach deep into the bag. But Aue has already picked up a rejection on the Rhine. Düsseldorf hopes that Iyoha will flourish with them, but in a roundabout way. After a possible contract renewal, he should be lent again: "Perhaps it is better for him to make the next small step again. That we give him to a top club of the Second League. Or in the first league, that does not have to be in Germany, "said Pfannenstiel, who does not see the Erzgebirge as a top club in the second league.

    Aue President is pissed,
That he is not purely from the table either, but has always proven again and again that he can develop talents. President Helge Leonhardt is very upset about the Dusseldorf's approach: "This with Iyoha is abysmal, it's a modified form of predator capitalism!"
    https://www.tag24.de/nachrichten/au...sident-helge-leonhardt-emmanuel-iyoha-1087387

so top 2BL club (lol whatever that means since 2BL is usually more equal than 1BL, promotion battles and relegation battles were so close). Or a 1st division in another country. Eredivisie? Austrian Bundesliga? etc.

I hope Aue snatches some interesting German youth striker in the Summer.

Kuntz has to hand in the 23-men roster for U21 Euro by tonight, and he will announce the final squad by tomorrow

Klunter, Arne Maier, Nmecha/Teruchert, Koch are some of the favourites to be cut

I'd rather keep Koch and cut Uduokai tho. I don think we need so many CBs and Koch can play DM.

Torunarigha and Uduokhai have similar functions and posiitons.

Tah, Anton, Baumgartl, Torunarigha..............Koch as 5th CB or DM, thats adequate

00-Kehr moves to 2BL. Looks like 2BL is getting more and more interesting this Summer. Furth seems excited that he can play both Wings and CF.

just from 00s at Furth, you get CB Bauer, LB Lungwitz, CM/AM/W Abouchabaka, and W/CF Kehr.

Seems like Lowen to Hertha is happening.

More young players going to Duisburg.

DFB Want Moukoko to play again,

DFB fighting for BVB jewel Moukoko
Clear that the DFB keeps the wonder boy in the eye and hopes that he moves back into the junior team of the national team after two years.

So far completed Moukoko, who already stands at 48 goals this season before the semi-final second leg against the wolves, four internationals for the U16. In the summer of 2017, he was first called by Michael Feichtenbeiner, after his two outings against Austria followed by two more games against Belgium. Since October 2017, however, he no longer ran for the DFB, but focused entirely on the BVB - and the school, which was previously neglected.

But you do not want to give up the 14-year-old permanently. "We would like to have the wish that he plays for the DFB again", the future U18 national coach Christian Wörns will be quoted in the kicker. At present, the association is to hold discussions with Moukoko, his family and those responsible for BVB in order to fathom the chance of a speedy return.

In the national team, he could "once again prove at another level," said the 47-year-old, but also knows that Moukokos true potential is only foreseeable if he may play in the pros: "Men's football is something different There are a few big pieces to clear away, even if you have been through in youth before. "

The decisive factor for a promising career is not talent, but the discipline: "The crucial question is: How big is the willingness to get everything out? Many failed."

yeah 2BL is becoming more and more interesting.

Add another 98-99 striker in 1BL-2BL next season as 98-Lion Lauberbach joins Kiel from 3rd Liga.

"21-year-old Lion Lauberbach joins Holstein Kiel. The 1.94-meter center forward changes from the third division FSV Zwickau to the Kiel Fjord and signs a 3-year contract. Silence has been agreed on the transfer modalities. Lauberbach went through in the junior performance center of Rot-Weiss Erfurt all U-teams, then made the leap into the professional squad and debuted in August 2017 in the third division. Last summer, it went to league rivals FSV Zwickau, where he came to a total of 31 missions. "KSV's sporting concept is geared towards working with young, technically well-trained players like Lion Lauberbach and making them better," explains Fabian Wohlgemuth, Sports Director of KSV. "He has developed into the undisputed regular in Zwickau and had with his strong performances and four back-rounds significantly contributed to the recovery of the FSV. We are sure that its development is far from over. " Lion Lauberbach himself is looking forward to the task ahead of him: "I deliberately decided to take the step and switch to Kiel because Holstein has become a very interesting club for young players. Here you put on talents and give them the necessary confidence, which makes me feel positive to be able to establish myself in the team and get as much time as possible."

when it comes to 98-99 strikers we are seeing more and more movements. I still want to know where guys like Daferner, Musel, Nieland and Pieringer will end up next season. Still in II or some movements? As well as a few other 98-99.

meanwhile looks like with Sorg joining FCN, Goden might go on loan to Jena in 3rd Liga. At this rate, 00-Beyer (CB/RB) might end up being our 1st choice RB for the next U21 cycle.

98-Idrissa Toure who was loaned to Juventus and played for them in B who play Serie C (3rd division) will be bought by Juventus. Will be curious to know what they plan for him? More Juventus B? Loan to Serie B? Meanwhile 98-Schmidt will extend his Bremen contract and go on loan to 2BL (might as well go back to promoted Wehen). While Plogmann is looking for 3rd Liga loan, if no club want to take him as #1 he'll continue in RL and be 3rd GK (who they see as future #1).

meanwhile 99-Knothe leaves Frankfurt, he did say the only for him to develop was to leave since there are 0 1st team prospects.Next destination unknown.

Always wondered why he wasn't called up to the Turkey senior NT and that answers why. I mean Yalcin has been.

I've also noticed for awhile that Kutucu only accepted Turkey U17 call up for the U17 WC and not before. Was he waiting for Germany call up that never came?

If we call him up to the German U21, it will be like Nmecha permanent cap tie as he'll be forced to apply for a one time switch. Wonder if he's smart enough to stick with Turkey in youth and only accept a senior NT call up for Germany?

I'm hoping we "poach" (100% developed in Germany) him from Turkey in U21 though, let Turkey develop their own players and also increase the striker pool.

yesh about 98-99 RB, currently seems to be the worse position for that age group in Germany.

Passlack-who knows what's next for him, hopefully 2BL.
Goden-seems headed for 3rd Liga loan. If he goes to 3rd Liga loan only leaves 1 season for him in higher level.
Hemmerich-transfered for 3rd Liga, never given chance at Aue
Davide Itter-not a 1st team prospect still in RL
Ozkan-from AB in 2BL is like a back up only at his club.
Amade-I've seen mention that he's seen as a DM at Hoff over RB but he's currently also only RL player in II. I hope he goes on a 2BL loan or plays for the 1st team. Even if he plays DM for Hoff, he could still be used for Germany at RB. He reminded me a bit of Lahm when he played RB for Germany U20.

Agu with promoted Osnabruck to 2BL can play LB/RB. Who knows about chances or not until season starts.

everyone else is currently like 3rd Liga-RL.

reiterates why 00-Beyer might get U21 call up. If 00-Ludewig can make the RB Salzburg 1st team could also get early chances. Other 00 or even 01 RB could end up being given chances too. Like If 01-Asta gets Augsburg promotion, already played 2 full 1BL games.

-Dortmund U17 highlight win vs Wolfsburg U17.

and he officially joins 2BL Kiel.

speaking of 99-Knothe update, seems like he's joining FCN II and likely depending on how he does, could get 1st team chances in 2BL.
    https://www.fr.de/eintracht-frankfu...noel-knothe-geht-nach-nuernberg-12351785.html

looking at 3rd Liga, a lot of players got rescued from relegated clubs.
99-Papadopoulos went to another 3rd Liga club.
    98-M.Baku went to 2BL
96-N.Sessa (no longer youth) but is being linked with 2BL and 3rd Liga clubs)
99-Karweina went to another 3rd Liga club
96-Chato (no longer youth) joined 2BL Wehen

too bad it's unlikely the 4-5 00s at Cottbus move up so they end up in RL.

Max Eberl comments on the PSG German Academy farce.

Paris SG hunts talents in Germany: Eberl and Schmadtke worried
Paris Saint-Germain has decided to search for talents explicitly in Germany. For this purpose, boarding schools in Dusseldorf and Oberhausen are to be set up. For the manager of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Max Eberl, a worrying circumstance.
In France, Paris Saint-Germain has once again become relatively unchallenged champion. Internationally, it was not enough to play in the concert of the greats. But further upgrade is always possible. After all, there are enough millions to invest with Qatar Sports Investment and President Nasser Al-Khelaifi. And the club already has a plan where more euros are to be used.

For example, in Oberhausen and Dusseldorf, where the series champion from France would like to open football schools. With the Football Academy Dusseldorf GmbH one should already have agreed on a cooperation. As Sport1 reports, scouting days will be held there on June 22 (Düsseldorf) and on June 29 (Oberhausen).

For Gladbach manager Max Eberl the development is questionable. "I find it very questionable and borderline, if soon a team in a German youth league with the emblem of PSG would accrue," said the 45-year-old in the picture. And with his point of view, he is not alone, because Jörg Schmadtke, a native of Dusseldorf and currently manager at VfL Wolfsburg, expressed similar.

"You have to see that now not the very big clubs can take away the great talent. There is a certain danger, "says Schmadtke. From September, the work in the academies should start permanently. However, Germany is not the first country in which PSG has established such boarding schools. These are now also in the US, UK, Brazil and nine other countries.

The criticism or fear but goes a little bit into the void. For the Bundesliga teams are also internationally active. Recently, Borussia in Shanghai in the Far East office looked at how things are going there. "To inspire children and adults in China with our footballing philosophy and training methods, and also to help advance Chinese football, that's one of the approaches I like," said Max Eberl in October last year when the office opened. The same will surely be heard from Paris.

I really hate this globolization of football over the years, it's all about money and marketing. Now clubs seem to want players from other nationality just for marketing sake, it's a farce. Even stuff like Academy in Asia is all for marketing and money based.

Borussia Dortmund wants to tie talents - Paul Besong after U19 title win in focus
"For Paul it was definitely not an easy season," said BVB-U19 coach Benjamin Hoffmann on Sunday after a 5: 3 (1: 3) win against Stuttgart and the eighth U19 title of the black and yellow. Especially since Besong, Hoffmann revealed, without mentioning specific details, had to accept "a personal blow of fate". "But the boys always supported him and helped him.

Only seven appearances in the season 2018/19
In the final billing of the season 2018/19 Besong recorded at least seven missions. He stood in the field for 385 minutes. He gets six goals and three assists. "I am particularly pleased for Paul that he was able to hand over his business card again at the end of the season," said Hoffmann. Especially since the future of the storm talent is not yet clear.

Where the 18-year-old will play in the new season, is currently still open. "We would like to see him in the U23," said Ingo Preuß, team manager of the BVB-U23. Discussions with the player and his consulting company will be held shortly.

"Now, above all, I wish him first of all that he stays healthy and can show what his potential is," said Preuß. So that there will be such scenes as on Sunday often in the future. Salto included.

Strengths with the back to the goal And then there was a scene in the second half - the BVB played after the red card against Luca Mack already in the majority - which was quite remarkable. Besong stole out of the attack zone in the scene and made his way to the coach on the sideline. Not Hoffmann had called the 18-year-old to himself, the striker himself had decided so. "That came from the situation," said the striker. He had mentioned to the coach that he should be even more involved in the game, said the 18-year-old. He had seen "certain possibilities" with his back to the goal. "And I'm glad that it worked out well." Fewer in his goal to 3: 3, a powerful header after a corner by Enrique Pena Zauner, in which Besong prevailed against two Stuttgarter, but rather in the much acclaimed Opening goal for the black and yellow in the 82nd minute. With his back to the goal, the brawny striker took the ball. Moved into the penalty area from the right at the height of the 16-meter line, but first relegated one, then another Swabian, to the supernumerary and purposefully closed off from a distance. His low shot was unsustainable for VfB keeper Hornung bottom right to 4: 3 for BVB. It was followed by Besong's spectacular somersault jubilation and a little later the big championship celebration.
