And now the players are suddenly moving around like they care. Why did it take blowing the lead when playing like this earlier may have put the match away?!

That was a handball too, BTW...

I agree. The first handball was obviously going to be given, but it was like the PK called on Croatia in the WC Final (I think that's the one). If you put your head down to head the ball and it takes a deflection five feet away then hits your arm, what the hell are you supposed to do?

Really clutch finishing from Jota through three matches... How about kicking where YOU want to kick it instead of waiting for the GK dictate it?

I almost mentioned it here at the time, but when the Portugal players were show in the tunnel at halftime coming back to the pitch they looked like the team that had nothing left to play for.

    And now here we are.

Truly incredible, the passing from the midfielders. I don't even know what to say.

Was hoping Dju would be subbed on. Neto's first action was to dribble directly to the other team.

Not sure I'd have been a less impactful substitution than these guys.

Portugal's now up to 52 shots for the tournament according to FIFA - 18 have been on goal.

And that's over...F**** these kids, there are beyond lame. How could that Gedson dude could have possibly been considered a "wonder kid" at the beginning of the season? I hope Benfica gets rid of him and that he never plays for Portugal again.

I don't want any of these scrubs on the senior team in their lives. They wreak of the old Portuguese way. As for Helio "4-3-3" Sousa, go coach a district league. I don't want to see that formation on the Portuguese national team (on any level) ever again. Stubborn stuck coach, doesn't adapt to problems. Go **** yourself.

    **** these guys.

Sat in the stands in utter disbelief at the final whistle. I never rated this team too highly due to a weak midfield, but i thought they would for sure at least make the quarter finals. Either way this was the last game i was going to regardless of the result, it just sucks to end the my trip to Poland in such disappointment. Anyways off to Portugal for Nations league

These guys absolutely took the piss, they should give themselves an uppercut. I’m not making excuses and saying they are no good etc etc, this team was deep in talent with fantastic players but they played one good half of football against Korea and the rest was dog shit.

One thing I will note is the lack of Quina or Felix as in a true attacking mid really rendered Jota & Trincao useless. Rafael Leao & Vinagre funnily enough 2 sporting products IMO are the only ones who were decent.

Helio Sousa is a very good coach but he completely cocked this tournament. I have no words this guy has produced good teams at his time at the FPF but this was pure shite.

I hope these kids learn from this experience a fair few of them will graduate to the senior squad & I would hate to see this WC 2002, WC 2014, olympics 2004 shit ever again. It happens too often.

Coaches at FPF need a clear out, put high press coaches from 15 to senior squad. We play our best football when we’re c&$ts to the opposition

What do you expect? They weren't Benfica players, where the pro-SLB propaganda circle jerk will proclaim they're the next Ronaldo, and that every club in the world is after them. Portuguese media destroys all their careers. It's what happens when 3/4 are a bunch of Lampiao merda. Felix is next.

I couldn’t care less about clubismo in the Portuguese league and I’m sure the biggest clubs in the world care even then me. Leave that for the whiny meninas. That’s who cares. Only imature raparigas.

But for real, that’s the last thing that should be on the mind of anyone selecting a national team squad at any level.

You missed the point. Here, I'll write it again: young players from Benfica are ruined by the media hype they receive in Portugal. All they were talking about was Gedson, before Felix showed up. Lampiao media hypes them up, their ego grows, and then shit like this happens.

1- Name a better combination then Portugal as overwhelming favourites and choking hard?

2- it might bring a lot of this kids back down to reality and start a bit of an upgrade in coaching at the youth levels.

I wish you’d calm down with the club bullshit, you know what you talking about for the most part until you start with the anti Benfica crap which is ruining the game in Portugal. You ca either feed that beast which has led to fans raiding the sporting dressing rooms, corruption and violence.

Clubismo shit aside, read my most recent post. Portuguese media over hyping trash like Gedson, Florentino, Sanches, etc.

Keep trying to keep Clubismo shit out of it, when it's the Clubismo bullshit that is destroying our national teams. The biggest Clubismo bullshit comes from Portugal as a whole and their pro-SLB media, blowing up these teenagers heads, and ruining their careers.

    Wake the f*ck up.
