Been a while; have I missed anything?

Anyway, we finally got the Dassler we wanted, even though I've converted from Sambas to Suedes in the intervening years. Here's what our apparent new international training strip will look:

I'm optimistic that our Adidas kit will be nice. Maybe nice enough to even buy one? ;) Puma never even turned my head TBH.

Well, the first two years we were with Puma they had some good kits, but very few, the GK kits in 2014-15 and 15-16 had screened on Puma logos and the Arsenal badges were rubbish due to the fact they used el cheapo plastic for them, but then the past three seasons they started to pick up the pace, the GK kits were much better, as there were some new wrinkles added for the fans, proper WOVEN Arsenal badges and stitched Puma logos were added as well as new short sleeved options (only one choice in SS for both 2016-17 and last year) and also the GK kits this season, my personal favorite of the Puma GK kits was the green one that was not available through Arsenal Direct (they only had the ugly-as-hell black/red brownish kits) the green kit came through Fanatics.com and for those three seasons those were some of the best Puma put out for us, but up until most recently, due to my being unemployed since September 2017, I had to sell almost all of my LA Kings jerseys I collected over 44 YEARS of FAMILY TRADITION, but, there were a few I kept, the same with my array of Puma Arsenal kits most recently, I had to sell those too, but, I kept four of them, and here are the 4 I kept and myself in them:

Unfortunately, also due to my long-term unemployment, I also sold all of my Nike Kobe V and Kobe VI low tops, I only have my 2008-09 Hyperdunk Lows (black/silver, cool gray/light gray, white/silver, and "Snakepool" in Del Sol/purple) and also my custom Nike ID (now known as "Nike By You") Kobe AD low tops, in black/silver and white/black (for the Raiders and the Kings) and red/white and navy/red (for my 2002-03 O2-sponsored Arsenal home and away kits respectively).

I was trying to post this one as well, but digging through elements to find the image link got boring. I won't lie; I actually like this, for the colors if nothing else. it does look like Barcelona's training shirt/Sp*rs' away shirt from this season, though.

There's a new jacket as well. All the money I didn't spend on Puma is going to the other end of Herzogenaurach now. I'd prefer a proper high neck instead of a bomber-style collar, but I really dig the color scheme.

Love the Herzogenaurach reference. A buddy of mine who does a podcast did an episode about the Adidas vs. Puma feud. It's a fun listen.

Good stuff, though BigSoccer is the original hyperbolic chamber.

An interesting note about that podcast and how they touched on Run DMC; KOЯN used to wear adidas gear exclusively until they released "Follow The Leader" in 1998. Puma signed them for $1 million and they were in an advert with Serena Williams, who had also just signed on with Puma.

I'm liking the use of the two color crests I'm seeing on all the Adidas stuff. I always thought it'd look good to have all red/white and yellow/blue badges on the home and away shirts, to look like the single color cannon from back in the day.

I had already subscribed to this podcast before this post, but it had aired before I started listening to it. Totally loved this one. Please tell your friend thanks if you could.

I've already recommended this podcast to multiple friends and colleagues at work.

Yeah, I will. Chuck and I were roommates in college and still good friends today. He and his family live only a couple of miles away.

So my medium 2017-18 3rd kit with Kos 6 on back had a mistake...they put #6 too far from the name, looks off, and since there were no more shirts available, I accepted it with a big frown.

Had been searching since then for another M or L....and after all this time, I found a local store that had 1 Large!

$45 brand new with tags. I've been on google for months, searching daily. This store doesn't have its products indexed on google, so nobody ever bought it. Also why it took months to find!

Don't like the three lines on the shoulders, but otherwise they look great. Hope there's no third kit: just home and away.

    I'd consider getting one.

Assuming that's a legit photo, I really like the home kit... pretty damn classic. Waiting on the socks however!!!

The away kit has some issues for me: fabric pattern, sleeves & body both yellow, and last but not least, it looks like it's going to be yellow and black rather than blue... i.e. black shorts. We're gonna look like Watford or something.

Does anybody know when the new adidas gear will start showing up in retail stores? (I was given some ugly Puma stuff for my birthday which I returned for store credit, feeling pretty certain that I would end up liking the Adidas stuff better)

    LOVE THEM BOTH!

As for the away kit, maybe it's the lighting but it looks like a very dark shade of blue, obsidian maybe?

Nah it's not blue, it's black. I will go to my grave with our classic away kit being: yellow shirt, blue sleeves, blue shorts, yellow socks.
