It's game 1 of the 2019/2020 season.. the stadium is full of excited onlookers. Suddenly, the lights dim. A single pillar of light appears in the middle of Stamford Bridge... an enormous, breathtakingly beautiful bald eagle lands in the middle of the light as onlookers let out audible gasps. A soft, entrancing voice begins to sing "America the Beautiful" ... who could it possibly be? It's Bruce Springsteen, of course, as he descends into the stadium on a floating stage with his acoustic guitar in hand. The song comes to a close with the softest of decrescendos.

    BANG

A ferocious chord struck from James Hetfield's electric guitar rips through the Bridge... Metallica then breaks out into "For Whom the Bells Toll" as new signing Christian Pulisic rises out of the center of the pitch from a hidden underground platform, the bald eagle elegantly perching itself on his arm. The crowd breaks out in a "USA" chant. Pulisic goes on to score 150 Premier League goals in a single season.

    The end

this is what to expect right?

The lad says some very nice things about football and coming to England as a kid. He also played football on a "court" apparently. which is a little confusing. But hey the lad has some skills. Cannot wait to see him next season.

"Initially I was a little bit confused and wondered why my family was going to England. I didn't really want to leave home," he said.

"But I soon realised how much people over here loved the game. To be in that culture and get thrown right in just grew my passion even more. Every day after school I was on the court playing.

"I would go to games with my dad, including one at Chelsea. I don't remember how old I was but it would have been around the time Jose Mourinho was there.

"The fans were screaming and yelling. The atmosphere was fantastic. I had never seen anything like it."

Pulisic - “I remember playing in these little tournaments and we would play an absurd amount of games in a short amount of time,” he said. “I remember winning a few, and once being awarded the MVP trophy … I was so proud of it, my biggest accomplishment. When I was little, if I didn’t get a trophy, I was mad.”

There, at least, he will definitely fit in at Stamford Bridge.

What do you think of BVB's aggressive (my perception) business so far?

And with Brandt gone, do you think Leverkusen will sell Leon Bailey (signed until 2023) and/or Havertz (2022)?

Not sure what Leverkusen will be doing but they will bounce back. I do like the business BVB is doing but we lost the league this last season because we let goals in, not because we could not score. So, though sorting up the midfield is great, we need defenders.
Thanks, I do a lot of lurking but I have very little to contribute so I am here...

Good boy, though lets be honest performing in the Premier League is going to be an awful lot harder than 'shining' against Jamaica - not to 'p*ss on his fire' though, I do think the lad will get plenty of opportunity under a certain Mr Lampard - would be nice if Christensenl, RLC, CHO and Pulsic can get starting spots.

Pulisic contributed something like 20 goals/assists in as many competitive games for the US, but I do agree with you. Playing against EPL teams is a much different league than the likes of Jamaica, Honduras, Panama, etc.

I am very excited to see what he can do to help Chelsea this coming season.

Any words on when CHO is coming back? I love to see him and CHO on the field together.

Late August it sounds like. Big issue for us for sure because we only have 2 real wide players in Pulisic and Pedro.

willian? or will he be injured still as well? i know he missed his final.

i just don't want to rush either CHO or RLC back but both will have huge roles this season.

I've seen something on Twitter that states Lampard prefers Pulisic in the #10 role, sharing it with Mount. Any truth to this?

I find it hard to makes that determination without seeing Pulisic in training with Chelsea yet.

Where do you guys see Pulisic fits best on this team? I am seeing him and CHO on opposite wings would add the most offensive threat.

I've just always thought Willians best position was central but can play wide.

Just depends on who we set up? Are we looking 433 or 4231 or a 41212? I have no idea. I think he's best out wide though where he'll get space to run at defenders.

i think lamps was playing a 4-3-3 mostly at derby but did play 4-2-3-1 some. so yea, it just depends i think. Pulisic will likely play wide in a 4-3-3. however, if we are looking at a central attacker in a 4-2-3-1, Pulisic could possibly play that as well, he'll just have to get use to the pace of the league really quick to operate in those pockets instead of wide.

Lampard played every formation imaginable at Derby and Pulisic can really play anywhere on the pitch outside of straightup defender or Makelele role.
