I can't guarantee they aren't brothers but agree that it seems highly unlikely. Interestingly, Curtis does not play for the NCFC DA side but for their ECNL U16 side. There are 9 players from last year's U-15 DA team that are his teammates. I imagine that next year a significant number of them will be in the U16/17 DA side and Curtis may be among them.
Old tweet, but Caleb Borneo has been in camp with T&T U15s. Confirmed US citizen. Does anybody know where in Texas he's from? I think he's another player from El Paso (like Ricardo Pepi ) Texan Santiago Muñoz -- an @alianzadefutbol graduate -- the leading goalscorer so far in the @Concacaf U-17s Championship with 4 goals. Giuseppe Rossi at the Confederations Cup I imagine...............................(if we're talking all teams).
I have seen almost all the games of Mexico and I think Muñoz is a great prospect. For the next cycle U20, It would be good to have a forward as him in the team. I doubt that he plays for USA since he feels a great appreciation for Mexico.
I didn't see any of the Mexico games except for part of the game against us, but his stats are very good. What would you say he plays like? Is he more of a Pepi style CF or AOC style CF?
He is more of a Ocampo Chavez style (I think he could be better), he's not the classic # 9 like Pepi. He's a pretty decent athlete, has a great dribble, besides is a big scorer.
Danny Acosta is on Honduras's 40 man privisional roster for the Gold Cup. Does that mean he's filed a one time switch? All the rosters are here: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/78d35...oncacaf_Gold_Cup_Preliminary_Lists_May_20.pdf
I think there was discussion of Alvarez being included on the US provisional list for the U-20 WC, but I don't know exactly. If Acosta isn't playing, which he isn't after a good start to the season, its not a loss to the NT. We can't be calling players into our NT who aren't playing, and there could be the same problems that he had at RSL that are keeping him off the field here. If thats the case, its an example of a player that got away for our NT, both literally and figuratively. In the literal sense, he'll have switched to the Honduran program and the figurative sense he'll have not come close to maximizing his potential for the USMNT. Acosta playing every week and staying out of trouble is the best US LB right now, IMO. We do have some good LB prospects in the system, but most of those players have barely played any pro games, if they've even played any. Having so many of your best players being young kids is going to hurt NT results compared to what they could be. Having in their prime players as the core players for a NT is usually the best recipe for success in international tournaments compared to a team of very talented kids, as long as there's no big talent disparity between the talented kids and in their prime players.
