Enochs was a hero at Osnabruck and is a model citizen and player ... but they never sniffed the Bundesliga. Tom Dooley and Kaiserslautern WON the Bundesliga in 1991. Now, he didn't seek out his citizenship until 1992, but he at least deserves a mention in this conversation. He got FC Homburg promoted, title in 91, cup in 90, then moved on to Bayer and Schalke before hitting "people show up only for the hot dogs" era Columbus Crew. Reyna played great in Wolfsburg for a couple of seasons, too.
Exactly my point: "beloved and long-playing" is not the same as "impactful at the highest level." CP's BVB will be too short to make Dolo comparisons useful, but much as I supported Dolo he simply is not in the same pool, talent, impact (esp given Chelsea #s) or team-success-wise as CP.
Long wait until we see Pulisic in a Chelsea jersey. Looks like their first friendlies are July 19th and 23rd.
The shitty thing about this is that he’ll probably be with the US team through the beginning of July, and then probably take a few weeks off (as he should), which means that he’ll probably get a late start with joining Chelsea.
At his peak,i believe he was among the best players at his club. And a fairly respectable fullback. Though he didnt get any honors for it. But i never followed the team.
Thread title? If we have any class, it will be "Kind of Blue: Pulisic at Chelsea". That's a ritzy part of town, so it's perfect for the Miles reference.
Oh come now... Der Blaue Reiter: Can Pulisic's elegant, explosive strokes bring composure to Chelsea's eclectic, chaotic collection...
"Putin the net for Roman - CP @ Chelsea" "Blue Lampoon - CP marooned at Chelsea #ffp" "Dancing with Blues balls - CP in Chelsea" "London Calling - Chelsea rings in Pulisic" "Can a Christian and a Roman get along?" "Pulisic to my stomach at seeing Christian at Blues"
Gianluca Di Marzio: Chelsea will fire Sarri and replace him with Lampard The other favorite for the [Juventus] position is Maurizio Sarri. The Chelsea manager is under contract until 2021, but the club have already decided to change coaches and hire Lampard. Claudio Lotito, meanwhile, is stubborn and will be harder to convince. https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/juv...i-the-favorites-to-replace-allegri-the-latest
