Yeah, Brazil is forming a lot of Left Wingers lately, this is good and bad at same time, however, as Neymar is ambidextrous he could play as Righ Wing or even emulate the number 10 in the middle field (How he does in PSG), and this way it would open space for Vinícius, Rodrygo, Neres, this new generation at the wingers: Casemiro - Arthur - Neymar - Vinícius - Firmino - Richarlison would be a very interesting formation

Brazil won't win anything if they have the same manager and tactics they had the the World Cup. Treating Neymar like some god despite having a team full of talent, everything was just "get the ball to Neymar so he can do some tricks and attempt runs". He was taking up the wide left position which should have been Marcelo's and was known more for his rolling around than doing anything productive.

It's an issue with South American managers in general. Brazil need to go back to playing as a unit and making the likes of Neymar follow instructions.

Yea. Vinicius wasn't competing against Richarlison who's a forward. None in that team apart from Neymar can put defenders under pressure like Vinicius can. As I said, Brazil have had a penchant to select average players over top young talents starting from Dunga era. Fred in 2010 when Neymar got snubbed.

That formation would be weak defensively I think. Allan or Fabinho would be needed and one of Firmino/Richarlison. Nevertheless, Authur, Neymar, and Vin together sound extremely potent.

True. It did not start with Dunga though although it became the norm with him. Romario was difficult to handle and therefore hardly played for Brazil back in the day although he was among the top two players in the world; however, he had to be called when Brazil got into trouble. Starting with Dunga, Brazil have been regularly selecting untalented workhorses instead of match winners (e.g., not taking Ganso, Neymar, and Ronaldinho in 2010 but picking far worse footballers). This nonsense has been happening ever since and has not worked out in their favor.

The Brazil manager made it crystal clear that he was not going to call up Vini unless he was in red hot and form and starting like he was right before he got injured. Not sure why everyone’s surprised.

Vini lost his spot in Brazil squad.
Lost the last game of the season in Real Madrid
And, In the fantasy of Brasileirão (Brazil 1 division), Vini put Rodrygo on his team (
), and Sampaoli benched Rodrygo during the entire match against Palmeiras yesterday.

    Poor Vini, haha.

But, talking serious now that the season is over, what grade yours they give him?

Just saw the score and Santos got thrashed 4-0. Why did he bench Rodrygo? He was playing well in the league.

I will actively root against Brazil except when its against Argentina. Eff them.

For a young player on the come up this could have been a great learning and maturing experience. Playing with proper players in proper matches with prizes on the line. This is a loss for us and for Brazil's NT future too. People can shine the turd all they want and say he'll be fresh for the pre-season...………. nothing beats experience especially for players who don't have it yet. And with Hazard coming Vin's mins are probably won't be very high next season. Eff Brazilian NT.

So are you saying that just because he is not in the squad for this comp that he will not learn or mature?, we don’t or won’t have proper players that he can learn from at Madrid?, we won’t be fighting for prizes next season?, all seems a bit of a rush to me for an 18 year old ,sounds like he has to do all that this minute or it’s curtains for him and for us in terms of his talent, all about the “right now”, I believe he’s more talented than that,

It would have been nice to go at this time yes but IMO it’s not the end, he’s young, he has been left out of a squad, not sure how much playing time he would have gotten anyway if, by the coaching teams’ thinking, he cannot even make the final 23, we are not even talking about the final 11 yet, the only concern I share here is Hazard coming, especially if we keep all of Marco, Isco and Lucas V, but this in itself has nothing to do with the national team, that problem would have been/is the same regardless, if keeping all those players is what occurs

I don't know where you got this from. I don't think I said that because he didn't go to the Copa its all over for him.

Going to a tournament with a team is a experience. Staying with a group. Practicing and playing meaningful matches. It's much better than sitting at home and playing COD and resting. Even if he didn't get a lot a mins if he went it would still be a positive experience for him and would definitely help with his growth. Lots and lots of young players have said in interviews how going to a WC/Euro (even when they didn't play) was immensely useful to them. Its a wasted opportunity. Of course he will get those chances eventually. It would have been better for us and him if he got it sooner rather than later.

Especially at his age, you just can't replicate these kinds of conditions.

Plus look at guys like Reus and Carvajal, who always seem to get an injury right before major international tournaments. Could be years before he actually gets this type of experience and by that time it won't really aid his development because he will be the finished product.

At least, Vinicius has plenty of time to improve his finishing during off-season.

He's going on an extended vacation, some people have weird perceptions of how players "improve".

Although Vinicius has vacation during the summer, it doesn't mean he cannot take the opportunity on working with his weaknesses. For instance, many NBA players are working hard with improving their skills during the off-season.

American sports are much different than international.

Both NBA and NFL players dedicate much of their offseason to development, but that is mainly because the environment is more cutthroat. In the NFL fans don't give a shit about you, believe loyalty is a one-way street and you're one move from being released or injured with poor protection from contracts. In the NBA players are protected, but again tons of competition and less patience.

We're the most pressure packed club in the world and Asensio basically yawned throughout a season. Look at some of the rest of these guys performances as well.

Does it honestly look like they did any serious developmental work in the summer?

For most they just travel to different places and decompress. I do understand why because their season is much longer than the others.

Then again that's why there are Cristiano's and there are Asensio's or Isco's

Most work in football is physical preparation. For what it's worth, if you watch football teams train on that level, most of the players score wondergoals on a string every session.

Man, Vini takes very seriously the off-season period, at the end of 2017, the year he became a pro player, Vini spent December and January at the gym training hard, he came to 2018, technically and physically much better than it was in 2017.

    Here, the the article:

Obviously it's in Portuguese haha, But with the Google Translator is possible understand

He'll need to train those glutes to sit on the bench firmly and lower the risk of I Jury next season.

    This.

With Hazard and Benzema as starters, Jović next in line and Zizu`s golden boy Asensio probably receiving 3k minutes as he did in 17/18, i would be surprised if Vin goes over 1,5k minutes. For example, Morata received 1,8k minutes in all competitions while scoring 20 goals and 6 assists.
