I think what Buzz meant to type was that Besler is back and training and should be reinjured any second now
This will be my first regular season game attended this year due to a number of reasons. I'm half expecting the game to be called off due to thunderstorms knowing my luck. Sorry in advance.
We're signing Wilson Harris as a hardship signing. https://www.sportingkc.com/post/201...al&utm_source=tw&utm_campaign=517wilsonharris
it looks like there might be a 3-4 hour window in the storms. might just get it in with no delays. i expect the place to be half full tonight, though. all the rain + our list of injuries + our current terrible form = people making better use of their time.
Late arriving crowd, but we seem to have lost 3,000 fans this season. Weather is great. No rain, perfect temperature, and a 1-0 SKC lead. So far, so good.
Yeah, it was definitely late arriving, filled in nicer than I expected. Now add a second and third to take advantage of our possession
In many ways, SKC looked like a more dangerous team last night. The obvious bright spot was the the Felipe, Benny, Ilie triad in the middle. They looked great all night and controlled much of the movement of the game. The worst part of the team, again, was Rowe. He had more of the ball last night playing as a winger, but that just gave him the opportunity to do nothing with it or just give it away,,,as he did many times. He had an abismal 26 points in the Audi index mostly from not being able to complete a pass to his own team or just losing the ball. The sooner PV can sit him on the bench the better. An encouraging sign in the defense was the play between Besler and Barath. They worked well together until the last 45 seconds of the game. Sigh... The other bright spot to me was Hasler. I think he really performed well and in some ways a lot more effectively than Zusi. And lastly, Nemeth. What a complete brain fart to go into a dangerous challenge like that and get a red card. That’s just what SKC needed....losing another player with Seattle next on the schedule. Can it get any worse.....?
Agree about Rowe.. it was definitely not for a lack of effort - dude was all over the pitch. He just does not seem to be good enough for 2019 MLS though - no speed, no take-on ability, not a great shot, mediocre passing. Starts making more and more sense that NER hardly started him in 2018. What makes it even worse is that now with Nemeth out for (I assume two?) games we could really need the guy that was traded away to get Rowe. With hindsight, I'd have rather seen Croizet replace Salloi yesterday. But then again $%^&% Yohan for trying a 60 yard hail mary in the 93rd minute of a game you are 1-0 up.
