Christian Pulisic gets the start for Dortmund today, as they hope to defeat Borussia Moechengladbach today and win their first Bundesliga title in 8 years. Fabian Johnson did not make the squad for Gladbach. To win the title, Dortmund will need Eintracht Frankfurt to secure an away victory over Bayern and their old manager, Niko Kovac, in the Allianz Arena. Tim Chandler has made the bench today for Frankfurt.
Frankfurt have much to play for- a win likely puts them into CL. But Bayern are focused on winning. That should be an intense game.
Tough to do when everyone is a head taller and a stone heavier. Clear to me (and increasingly opponents) that Pulisic can be neutralized by physical marking. He's got talent but only when allowed space. The very very good ones can create much from very little. Pulisic isn't in that category.
Quiet game so far for our boy. Only mention of him in the game thread over at the fans forum is an exasperated "Ist Puli eigentlich auf dem Platz?" (Is Puli even on the field?). So he's probably going to score.
Sancho scores a volley off a cross from Reus Will VAR take a look? It seems like Reus may not have been able to stop it from drifting out for a corner first.
CP should have more spaces to operate in the 2nd half....this game should be very entertaining in the last 45 min.
OMG they tied it! Frankfurt tied it! PS: Because of GD, Bayern must lose and BvB must win for the latter to win the league.
