http://www.soccerwire.com/news/club...th-soccer-scene-to-mexicos-club-leon/?loc=psw Josimar Coreas expects 2015 to be the best year of his young life, and he won’t be experiencing much of it in his native Alexandria, Virginia. After a winding path through the U.S. youth soccer landscape, the 18-year-old (pictured above, at right) has signed a professional contract with Mexican powerhouse Club León. After signing a one-year deal late last year and waiting anxiously for his work permit and international transfer paperwork to clear, the forward/midfielder has relocated from the Washington, D.C. region to the central Mexican state of Guanajuato to join León’s Under-20 team. His USSDA profile confirming his US citizenship: http://ussda.demosphere.com/teams/60852305/47187463-60852393/40187245.html Looks like he gained a lot of attention from Sueno Alianza: http://www.alianzadefutbol.com/nota.php?id=525&titulo=suenan-con-defender-a-la-selecta.php Sounds from that article like his interest is in playing for El Salvador.
On player profile pages, there's a section that states which club the player has registered with for that season. Coreas is "Sin registro", which I take to mean he's without a club.
According to this Brazilian soccer site, Josimar Coreas was with Club Leon U-20 for 2014-15, with Ferroviario FC in Brazil for 2015-16, and is with Spanish club Real Aviles for 2016-17. http://www.ogol.com.br/player.php?id=467169&epoca_id=143
Thanks. After I posted that initially, I found this more recent article (last week) saying he's currently on preseason trials with Real Aviles: El nuevo Avilés comienza el trabajo
This article from Dec 2016 says Coreas and fellow American (as well as former Club Leon junior) Miguel Palafox have been training with Real Aviles. Another article from May 2016 says the same thing so I'm not sure if he and Palafox actually play for Real Aviles or just simply train with the club. El Real Avilés busca el tesoro americano
Oh man I saw the notification for this thread hoping for an update since he went AWOL Shame, I was keen on this guy as a potential defender for the ES national team.
