Coutinho has been awful as well. Not really a good season for quite a few of our players.

Coutinho doesn't fit that team. Coutinho needs runners around him. I also question his mental strength. But being the wrong fit for a team will beat you down mentally. He needs to leave and Barca needs him out too.

Neymar with a bust up incident with Draxler in the locker room. Although not uncommon for bust ups to happen, anything with Neymar will just add fuel to the fire.

Is he possibly forcing a move out of PSG ?

Anyone have any opinions on the olympic squad announced for the Toulon tourney??? I was frustrated to see lincoln left out but the one who puzzled me was jean Pierre from gremio.. doesn't make sense when you look at how weak the meia list is

Call up for CA tomorrow. Here is a list of possible players who will be called.

An Overflow of options on the wings. In bold are the obvious locks.

    GKs: Alisson, Ederson, Cassio, Weverton
FBs: D. Alves, Rafinha, Fagner, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Alex Telles, Filipe Luis, Marcelo
CBs: Marquinhos, Miranda, Miltão, Thiago Silva, R. Caio, Dedé, Pablo, Geromel
Mid: Arthur, Casemiro, Paqueta, Fabinho, Allan, Fermadinho, Bruno Henrique, Paulinho, R. Augusto, Fred
FW: Neymar, Richarlyson, Firmino, Everton, G. Jesus, Coutinho, David Neres, Vini Jr, Douglas Costa, Lucas, Willian, Malcom, Pedro

I think Tite will go with (for remaining):
    Cassio
    Fagner, Filipe Luis, Alex Sandro
    Thiago Silva (if healthy)
    Fabinho, Paqueta, R. Augusto (Allan)
Neres, Coutinho, Everton, Vini Jr. (a hunch there is a push from Nike ... otherwise D. Costa) .

Why is Fernandinho back? This surprises me. And why Fagner?

I just got back from visiting my mother in France.
I immersed myself in the French sports press and, according to my mother's translation, the consensus seems to be that Neymar isn't going anywhere. In fact, Neymar can't move from PSG. The reason is simple: MONEY. The argument is that there is no other team on earth, including FCB and Real Madrid, who are willing to pay the transfer fee but, more importantly, no other team on earth is willing to pay Neymar's salary which is something in the $50 million dallar range. Neymar Jr and Sr will not be willing to take a 50% pay cut, for example.

As usual, I'm mostly OK with the call-up. I'm disappointed that Alex Sandro, Vinicius Jr are not on the list and that Fernandinho is in.
I can only wish Brazil luck and that Tite finds wisdom.

Dani Alves does not play as a right back anymore (at PSG). Fagner is of little use at the highest international level. So, the right back position is incredibly weak! Fagner can probably manage in the Copa America but against taller European opposition, he is completely useless. Fabinho (instead of Fernandinho) and Vinicius Jr (probably instead of G Jesus) should have been there. Why would a coach select far less talented footballers over one that has the potential to be the best in the world? Vinicius, thus far, is the best talent to emerge from Brazil after Neymar. Also, Neres did great at Ajax and deserves it after his UCL exploits. However, at the moment, is he better than an in form Douglas Costa?

If he wants to move , he'll move. There are plenty of cards he can play and he hasn't even started playing them. The player has the all the power and leaverage if he is willing to be an asshole. Neymar has no problem with that lol

Yeah ... but I believe Alves will still play FB . And like you said , Fagner as well should be able to handle CA opposition. None are directional towards 2022 and I think it speaks to the lack of options in the RB position right now.

The problem with Douglas Costa is that you can count on him being injured . So I think Neres is fine . But yeah , would have liked to see Vini Jr in there .

I think you are wrong. Becoming more of an a*sshole will not do it IMHO.
Neymar has only one card to play: He and his father are willing to accept a big or huge pay cut, maybe up to 50%? I do not think anyone knows exactly the amount PSG pays Neymar, but it's alot. I've heard figures as high as 54 Million dollars (from ESPN, I think).
I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that no team on earth is willing to pay anyone that type of money, especially if Neymar becomes a supreme a*sshole toward PSG and that Qatar Sheik dude.

    The problem is youth development.
I hope some of you saw the twin Brazil goat-f*uck disasters at the U20 and U17 South American tournaments. I did not see many prospects there, especially at the full back positions.

Fagner is probably okay for the Copa America but not much else. Given the lack of RBs, Eder Militao or Marquinhos would probably do a better (defensive) job in that role.

Hasn't he already??? And you go with french media, I'll go with the countless number of players that have forced there way out of situations they didn't want to be in. And he has more than one card, if you think he has one then it's not worth having a discussion. You think pogba will stay at man u too???

There is a shortage of rbs everywhere. I would have went with dodo from liga nos and fagner so i can't complain too much. Abner from ponte looks like the only one coming up with special talent. Who were the u20 rbs???

Look, the number of teams that may want Neymar are one: Real Madrid. And they would prefer Mbappe but the transfer fee for that guy will be double Ney's transfer fee so forget it.
If you follow Spanish media they speak of RM not willing to pay anywhere near what PSG is paying Neymar. Do you think Neymar and his father are willing to accept a pay cut? Or a cut on their cut of the transfer fee? From what I've heard of those two, money is the only motivating factor. BTW, I'm OK with that since a player must look out for his future.

Douglas Costa is in form? Since when? He hasn't done anything this season with Juve.
