I wanted Mou as well, but only if ZZ wasn't coming back. It sounds like 4x4s never got off Mou train. [emoji23]

It's mind blowing how Mourinho is defended and Zidane attacked.

Smacks of hypocrisy and craziness when someone is complaining about how Zidane plays young players and how he hasn't done well..... all the while wanting the catastrophic Mourinho to come and finish the club off.

The problem for me is this, Vini is way to good to play only 30-35 min per game in next season (The same for Rodrygo), these lack of time will limit hard what they can offer for Real Madrid, and, in the same time, hurt they progress, but, i undestand Real Madrid culture, at least lately in this quest to always have the bests in world in every position possible, consequently the kids not have much chance, i personally think they should bet on Vinícius and Rodrygo at the very end, trusting that they will be the world's best candidates in the near future, damn, Vini was bought when he was 16 years old and still an amateur, the danger was in this part, today he value is worth almost double what was paid 2 years ago.

In 2-3 years, Vini and Rodrygo no doubt will be two World Class Player for the next 10 years in Real Madrid, and already in next season they could deliver a very fun season even if it ended without titles, for 2020-21 then start to reap the rewards and build the team around them, i believe that would be the best way to develop them, but, again, i understand Real Madrid culture and especially the pressure of the media.

But, since a club has two diamonds like Vinícius and Rodrygo it is a waste not to give the odds they need, especially for what they can become (Without reducing the player who was important to Real Madrid latelty, but, Vinícius and Rodrygo have much more potential than Asensio, and, Vini for me is already better than Asensio), and they should be ahead of him in this plan for future.

Real Madrid has already run the risk of failing betting on Vinícius and Rodrygo in the past, but now i see no more risk, only the rewards.

    Great news!

Brazil announced a U23 squad for their tournament this summer. Rodrygo is included. Lots of other players from Europe are included.

However, Vinicius is not included. This must mean he will be included in the Copa America roster!!

Like I said Tite and the entire CBF would be stoned if they dared left him off.

i don't know how i feel about Vinicius going to the Copa, one hand he would gain experience and benefit from training with the likes of Neymar , on the other he could get injured..........eh feck it the upside>>>>>downside.

Hopefully Vini has a breakthrough CA and becomes one of the best players of the tournament making it almost impossible for Zidane to start him on the bench next season.

    You can't live by fear.

It is only good for Vinicius. He will go and tear it up. Brazil will win the Copa and he'll have the jump start to an amazing future and career.

Wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the star of the tournament and gets comfortable enough to finish chances well like he did with Flamengo.

This. He needs minutes to develop - develop his finishing / final product. Without it, he aint becoming a starter in Madrid.

He should go. If he make himself a name in that tournament it will be harder for zidane not to play him.

Damn, he’s got some tough competition, Moura has been in great form and is experienced, Neres has had continuity while Vini was hurt for a while, logic dictates that those two have an advantage but Vini is more talented than either one.

All three of them should be there with Firmino.

Don't know how this is even a discussion. Neymar shouldn't really be considered at this point unless it is just a symbolic selection. But who else are they taking Coutinho? Willian? Douglas Costa? Nobody is having good seasons otherwise.

Should be Vinicius's spot. Lucas has had years to show why he should warrant a spot, didn't take it (the Ajax hattrick shouldn't change anyone's mind). Neres, while a decent player with room to grow, is simply not on Vinicius' talent level. Vinicius is (i) the youngest player to fight himself in the Real Madrid first eleven in a long time (that alone warrants the spot..), (ii) is by far the most talented Brazilian player since Neymar, (iii) has the ability to shake the opponent's defense with fear due to his direct play and incredible speed, and last but not least (iv) is the new potential superstar / face of the Brazilian NT for the coming decade. It would be bizarre if he's not on the list, but hey...it's Brazil, I wouldn't be surprised if they said "He's still so young and will have many opportunities in the future".

I'm sorry, symbolic selection? Neymar is still (by far) their best player, don't let his antics cloud your judgment. Come on now!

He hasn't kicked a ball in months, probably can't pass a fitness test at this point.

He still has time but you are gambling that he won't be ready to play at all or at least won't be at a good performance level and could be potentially wasting a spot when you have other players in red hot form.

It'd be typical Brazil to take lesser talented players and win nothing as they have done over the last decade. Vinicius should be the second attacker on that list after Neymar given the season he has had at RM. He can deal with the pressure and expectations to win that comes with Brazilian NT.

Usually wouldn't want our players to be in summer tournaments however Vini needs and deserves this. It will benefit us as well as this experience is priceless at his age

I just watched the press conference. Vinicius didn't get called. Neres got called. Everton from Gremio got called. Richarlison got called.

Neither Lucas nor Fabinho got called.

    **** Tite.

This is worse than Dunga leaving out Neymar from 2010 WC and taking many average Joe's. Vinicius proved he can be a difference maker at the highest level.
