I don't understand why poch or simeone can't manage the national team part-time
    It should be allowed
International football isn't the same as club especially nowadays you literally doing nothing most of the year

There's a rumor that Dybala might not make the CA squad

According to ESPN, 20/23 of the players are confirmed

    upload_2019-5-10_12-46-40.png

    The only decisions are
    -Iván Marcone or Guido Rodríguez
    -Di María or Pity Martínez
    -Agüero or Icardi

Paying them in asado isn’t going to work. Plus, they both have families.

Dybala isn’t really worthy of going to be honest. And is only role is to be Messi’s back-up. They haven’t been able to play together.

Mati Suarez though? I’m not sure though.

Correa has a role and he’s a sub who can come off the bench and give a bit of a spark.

    Kun over Icardi is fine.

Lautaro can play as a forward in different ways.

Dybala hasn't really earned it. Can't point to his club form now and hasnt done much in his chances with us. Icardi over Kun would be silly to me. Can't believe that's even a decision with Lautaro on the team.

Bring both Aguero and Icardi to the tournament, leave Suarez at home.

I do like the look of the midfield, I just wish Ascacibar was given a chance. It's not his fault that Stuttgart have been terrible this year.

Aguero with a huge response goal after going down 1-0 to Brighton, which led to an eventual 4-1 win to secure the league title.

Can only imagine if Aguero had been managed by either Guardiola or Pochettino since the beginning. Only after 2016 did he show superb form at an international tournament with WC18 but that idiot Sampaoli completely underused him.

Aguero is a legend — always has been. To me, very underrated in football as well.

There is still time for Messi and Aguero to hopefully win us something....the window is closing but not shut yet.

Nothing is really shut until the players really retires from the NT. Klose said in frustration after losing 2012 Euro that he's not going to win any silverware with Germany, and he did at very end, 36 years old. I never thought Zanetti will ever win CL and he did won at 37.

So many stars has come & go in last 10 years , I'm amaze that Messi & Aguero are still playing at highest level at this point.

Pity scored his first goal for Atlanta United yesterday as well. The only goal of the game to win it.

Scaloni had said he wasn't going to submit a preliminary list for the Copa America, opting to just turn in the final list of 23 early to give the players confidence..... but now it appears he changed his mind after not being 100% sure about a few final decisions

We should have the list of 40 players on Wednesday

So, is he going to have a camp and decide from there? If that’s the case, then fine, I get it. If not, then I don’t see a point to this.

Well, I don't know if he's going to utilize the full preliminary list of 40 players (although he might)... I just think he's undecided regarding a few details: how will Pezzella evolve (he expressed uncertainty about this a few days ago)? Take Di Maria or Pity Martinez? What to do with Dybala, Aguero, Icardi?

The doubts are few, but they're there nonetheless..

Another factor that could have had some weight is Tapia pressuring to include some additional local players in the preliminary list in order to increase their international exposure and market value. Wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of Benedetto, Montiel, Blanco, etc. in the list of 40 as a way of selling them as "Argentina NT players"

This is horrible if true. Doesn't he realize Meza and Pavon were horrible in the World Cup and actually decreased their value to the world? LOL...idiots.

At least Meza had contribution ... prevented our equalizer against France

Pavon can do those twist and turn and makes us looks more flashy.:D

Ehhh I don’t know. Meza had a horrible World Cup, but his presence there did indeed increase his value. He was sold after that tournament for 15 million euros + an additional 2 in bonuses, when in reality we all know he is only worth a fraction of that price.

LOL, Meza has one WC tournament under his belt already, same as Bochini, Alonso, Brindisi, Pelado Diaz, Redondo, Riquelme, Lucho Gonzalez, Cambiasso, Banega, Lavezzi. Then there's Enzo Perez and Biglia, incredible as this may sound, both have actually more WC tournament participation than any of those players.

If our defence at least could be as good as when we played Brazil last year, we might have a chance. We just lack firepower in that game when we needed to score. Its weird that Icardi and Dybala has falling out of favor in their respective clubs, but they actually scored the last time they played for national team, so did Lautaro.

I think apart from the obvious Messi and Aguero, Lautaro and Dybala will be make it. Icardi seems to be hated by all corners, thanks to his wife and his own attitude.

The u20 team came from behind to beat Villareal B in warm up game for u20 WC.

So, since Griezmann has announced that he’s leaving. Reports are already saying that Cholo wants Dybala to replace him. As long as he doesn’t have to track back and play in the midfield, then I suppose this will do.

But let’s wait and see because just a few days ago, him going to United was already a done deal.

Also Bayern is prepping to make a deal for him. All rumors but everything points that he will be out of Turin. I think he’ll do much better in Germany than go to Cholo.

Let’s see what path he takes. Perhaps a very important move for him.

Atletico is where Argentine forwards seem to go to die so kinda hoping he doesn't go there.

Zaracho, who was almost surely going to be one of Scaloni's 23, suffered an injury vs Tigre and is now in doubt for Copa America (he is expected to be out 3-4 weeks, meaning he'd return right before the start of the tournament)

    -Leonardo Sigali (Racing)
    -Ignacio Fernandez (River Plate)
    -Manuel Lanzini (West Ham)
