Anyone ever get frustrated with how much they know (or think they know) about how practices should be run and how games should be coached? I fancy myself a pseudo youth soccer practice snob as i have done a lot of reading on the subject and my views align with a lot of good coaches out there who seem to do things the right way. Unfortunately those coaches dont live anywhere near me so we deal with what we have. But I often find myself observing practice thinking "what the heck are they doing that for" and "whats the point of this" "why arent they doing rondo's and more 1v1 stufff"? And during games thinking "why is the coach screaming and xyz player rather than explaining what they did wrong" "why is the coach joysticking" etc...Feel like i'd be better off knowing nothing. As an aside one of the guys i listen to has a podcast here and everything he talks about is so simple and basic and just makes too much sense. I found myself asking why cant all coaches just adopt this philosophy. https://www.coachingsoccerweekly.com/
Not qualified dont know the game well enough to coach the team. Just know enough to be dangerous and what NOT to do.
