Look at Asensio just jogging as he watches passes go past him, compare that to Brahim who runs from end to end to win the ball back .
Because he's barely had any touches thats what's giving you that impression i think, theyve both been pretty underwhelming. Yep, its my one pet peeve, players who dont work hard. especially when they are suckign as bad as Marco.
Asensio has tried to take on players .. once time on the end line after the Isco miss and another time through the middle trying to go past two players and in both he failed miserably. And now we are down. Great courtois slipped?
My daughter is same way, she dribbles 4 or 5 players and then loses the ball and stands around waiting for some one to win it back and pass to her...
I'm so happy Zidane came back for these last 10 games so he can get a real sense first hand of the shambolic nature of this squad. Otherwise he might have considered some of his favorites salvageable. He can't NOT see it now.
And Marcelo did everything but calculate the wind and trajectory for the attacker on that goal, couldn't even be bothered to challenge for the ball. Goal is as much on him as Courtois slipping.
Then again he's kicking out Reguilon and keeping Marcelo so my excitement about him returning got a kick in the nuts.
