It was a pathetic 3,843 people for a game between the top two teams, which is below the average of 5,381 for last season. Mix's team, Ulsan Hyundai, is one of the top four routinely but has some of the lowest attendance numbers. Seoul is the big one, drawing up to 30k people. Suwon is another, even though they're a bottom-half team that just came back from a one-season relegation. Koreans don't seem to travel much. Seoul fans would have to drive 4h to make it to Ulsan.
Love how the cameraman refuses to zoom out to show the far end, for fear of showing completely empty stands.
Just noticed that Mix's loan to the K-League ends in June. Will he extend in Korea, or head back to England? Since there's no shot he will play for Man City, what would be his next loan destination? I could see Norway, Netherlands, or Denmark in his future. Or maybe the Championship if he's lucky.

Ahead of tomorrow morning's AFC Champions League game between Ulsan Hyundai and Sydney FC, Ulsan Hyundai and former #USMNT midfielder Mix Diskerud gave a cool interview in English on the AFC website. Check it out. https://t.co/Lpdu9OSCF0— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) May 7, 2019
Much obliged for that response Mix. I wish we could say the football discussions would become more sensible here, but folks are so entrenched in their opinions that they just cherry pick how they view the game. Congrats on the HUGE goal today over Sydney!
I love how the entire defense is caught off-guard by this backheel - the defender starts to overplay Mix trying to make the sharp-angled conventional right-footed shot, and then ... oops. Splitting two defenders and leaving the goalie without a chance - great moment for Mix. Good luck in the knockout rounds. Anyone here know better than me if they have a realistic chance to win this thing?
What are your future plans Mix? Do you want to stay in Korea, go to Europe, give MLS another shot, or somewhere else? Also - what is your preferred position nowadays - attacking mid, or elsewhere?
I like how the keeper just sinks to his knees. Then he should be a winger, to fully utilize his ability on crosses.

They topped the group with the champions of Japan, China and Australia. The Group of Death. Even if they lost the last game in Shanghai, they'd still top the group. And Mix played all games. It's actually a very worthy achievement. Perhaps time to start thinking of bringing him back to the NT setup. PS: He's been playing box-to-box CM.
