They have not updated the Twitter site in over a month. It was with Athletic Madrid but I think they lost it to another Spanish team

The Helmond Cup was lost to Betis who then lost it to Leganes who then lost it to Real Sociedad who are the current cup holders.

I think this is correct but whoever runs the Helmond Twitter feed needs to update things so that it's correct. Real play Athelico Madrid today so there is a chance that the Cup can move again.

  3. :DSo Ajax can get it back in the next CL round:)

Plaudits go to Ajax, big night in Europe. Now Salzburg need to be knocked out and Holland take 11th place in this year's ranking. With PSV defending their Eredivisie title... then everybody can be happy.

We should all make a print of this and send it to Ramos with the message:
    "Karma has come your way."

NOT A SINGLE MENTION OF HIM – AND THAT’S A GUARDIAN GUARANTEE!
Say what you will about Sergio Ramos, and we hear that some folk are beginning to form opinions, but the man is quite good at defending. Sadly he wasn’t able to show off any of that ability on Tuesday night, on account of the cynical booking he picked up towards the end of Real Madrid’s 2-1 Big Cup win at Ajax, a clean slate for the inevitable quarter-final the welcome result. Sly Sergio! Clever Sergio! Hard-nosed professional Sergio! But it’s a thin line between success and abject failure containing enough comedic value to get ‘em rolling in the aisles all the way from the Metropolitano to Merseyside. And oh! Oh Sergio! What have you done?!

Just a hundred years ago NAC did beat Real Madrid 0-4 in Madrid.

Salzburg don't have to score 4. Any win and Austria overtakes Holland in the rankings (regardless if Salzburg are knocked out or not). Need Napoli to score a last gasp equalizer or Ajax have to at least get a draw in the quarters.

It's all irrelevant. Ajax will get direct qualification by winning the Champions League this spring.

Juventus it is in the quarterfinals!! A chance for revenge for the 1996 CL final loss on penalties. After winning that tie, Ajax will play the winner of Spurs/ManCity.

I donot want the Totally Hotshits get any honours, so ManCity has to progress!
Was CR in the Portugal team we did beat up 3-0?

Maybe moving the PEC game, closer to the AZ - Ajax tie, wasn't such a great idea after all. Then again AZ might have won it anyway.

The core problem is that ten Hag does not rotate players unless they are injured. Tadic looked very tired today and he's essentially playing a full 90 minutes every match. Except for the PSV match when he was hurt and maybe one cup game, de Ligt has played every minute. Juventus sat a number of players down today but they have pretty much locked up the league title that they can afford to do this.

^^the rest of the Eredivisie needs to thank Ajax big time for getting the coefficient points up. they also need to do much better in the Europa League next season as Ajax will have to retool their squad when everyone leaves for the big money this summer.

  20. That could be achieved if Ajax buys their replacements abroad and let Feyenoord buy the likes of Kik Pierie, Doan etc. In other words weakening the internal strength of the league in the end costs us points and eventually will again lead to non direct/loss of CL/EL spots.
