They need a point there. That's the bottom line. If they don't get the point, even if they beat Genk at home, they're going to depend on the Smurfs slipping somewhere else while they keep things clean.
Here are the highlights. The first goal was a tough shot low and into the corner. It wasn't an impossible save, but it would have been an outstanding one if made. The second was a PK, where Ethan guessed right (low and to his left) but couldn't quite get there. The third was a close range header at the back post. Ethan actually got close to it but couldn't quite reach it. Despite giving up three goals, you will see that Ethan did have a couple of very nice saves in this game, both with his feet. Certainly not to blame for the loss.
If he loses it too soon, he'll go the way with Guzan. I prefer a slow decline so he can become the next Friedel or Howard.
Really needs to work on his footskillz. Very good reaction keeper. Gets down very fast for a big guy. If he could distribute better he could do alright in Germany.
Is it just me or does anyone else think he doesn’t get the explosion on quick low lateral movement? That first goal and the penalty, I found myself thinking he should have gotten to that first one and that he MIGHT have done better on that penalty. IMO limited opinion he needs to improve there, decreasing his howler ratio, and getting better with his feet. Ok the plus side, superior reactions and body position on closing down.

Third qualifying round, right before the play-offs to see which teams make group. In the 3rd qualifying round they're likely to find teams like Spartak, 'Bahçe, Dynamo. They have a shot. For the playoff round, they're likely to get teams like Ajax or PSV, AEK or PAOK, Benfica, and if they're really unlucky, Sevilla, Napoli or Arsenal. So it's not very likely they'll survive that one.
As of now, 6 clean sheets in 19 league matches. 3 clean sheets in 3 CL matches. 0 clean sheets in 2 Europa League knockout round matches. 3 clean sheets in 5 playoff matches. Been nearly 6 months since he's regained the no.1 spot.
He has lock on number one spot....Leko will be gone and so will Leticia the current number 2 that they overpaid for and is lazy. Under new coach Horvath will have chance to get support and development he never got from Leko. He is only 23 so this will allow him to get another year playing top level games to gain experience before moving to bigger league as number 1.
Are you so certain both will leave? They paid a big sum for Letica. I'd be amazed if they dumped him.
100% take it to the bank......Leticia is a bust & was Lekos project with Leko gone they will clean up some of his bad decisions
