Lets put it like the 5 million€ tops for continental europe and 15 million€ for epl? CP=63 MILLION€ FOR AT LEAST TWO EPL TEAMS YOU KNOW
yeah dude LOL i think a lot of americans think of $$$ in soccer on that MLS pay-scale....and don't realize how much MLS underpays 95% of its players compared to Europe..... people think the money a player makes is some kind of absolute stamp of his level/value when different leagues have much different spectrums for how they would pay the same player.....
some are over paid. there are still plenty of "have nots". Sure, players like Bradley and Trapp make obscene money relative to their talent. 50% to 70% of rosters make less than $150k. if those guys arent underpaid, then the quality of the league has to be very poor. I doubt Aaron Long would agree with you.
okay...75% of its players. ...whatever the %....if you gave everyone in MLS a euro passport and free agency, the majority would/could find higher salaries than they do in MLS on the open market, imo....some significantly so.
While there is some truth to this it’s not just that simple. There are a shit ton of South Americans in Europe without euro passports. Talent trumps all. If there were more talented Americans that are better than the euros then we’d see a lot more of them in Europe. We’re starting to see more go at a young age which is good. But most mid 20’s mls players aren’t good enough to distinguish themselves enough to make it worth wild for the European team.
idk - good enough/young enough to buy/pay a transfer fee? no....most americans in mls arent that. but if fringe MLS guys like shelton can go to BL2 or Duka can go to the Champions League squad in albania....and romain gall washed out of columbus but is now in champions league too...and kekutah manneh signed in switzerland and his club wanted him to stay etc.....pretty sure the majority (if not all of them) of Americans on 23-man MLS rosters could latch on somewhere in Europe...might not be big 4 leagues....but i think there would be a lot more good surprises than many would anticipate...if somehow all americans all of a sudden were free agents with euro passports.......yeah there would be a bunch of harkes to spl2 cases but overall there would be many to first division teams, clearly. (after all, harkes wasnt good enough to break through at DCU but still latched on in europe) the reason they arent there now isn't only skill....it is economics/other hurdles... without the passport and free agent status they have to be better than....with those 2 they just have to be as good as...big difference, imo. nick lima trialed with hertha berlin this offseason and played well...but wasnt bought...waiting out his mls contract to move...now mls is benching him....they're not going to buy him...but if he was a free agent ...pretty sure he'd be in europe on a decent first team right now..as just one example...and he's a MLS "bench player" at the moment.... in my opinion anyone making the 18 in MLS this season could be on a euro team if they were a free agent.

A Celtic win today reduces the chances Weah will play in the U-20 WC since the Cup final is the day before the US team’s first game
So, that's how you get a free soccer jersey. Just bring a US flag to a game in which an American plays in. I'm gonna try this in August in southwestern Poland.
Yeah He put himself in good positions got a shot but not that dangerous. The commentators like him. They want to see Celtic try to extend the loan.
The Guardian notes that Thomas Tuchel has taken some heat after PSG lost 5-1 to Lille, with issues of squad size and lack of rotation coming to the fore.
So Celtic are too loaded to play him regularly and meanwhile PSG are run ragged and could use him probably about as much as Celtic have recently. Been that kind of season for YA.
