Most likely, needs the scholarship for a better international player. When someone isn't good enough to contribute at FSU, they are offloaded.

It's why FSU always have turnover, a good roster and good results. FSU runs in a professional way but supported by the administration to fit NCAA rules in a way most schools would not or can not do. It's a well oiled machine.

I'm 99% sure Anna was not "offloaded" to create space for a better player.
While she wasn't a starter, she was a valuable part of FSU's roster. She started when most midfielders or back line players were not available. She came in and played key minutes in every game. She made an impact!
I've communicated with a parent(s) of FSU soccer players.
This is what I've been told. Other parts I've gathered from public articles.
After each season, Mark meets with each player one on one. He outlines their strengths and weaknesses. Areas that need work and their prognosis for playing time going forward.
Some players want more playing time and prefer to transfer rather than sit, and he reaches out to other programs and helps them.
Caroline Brockmeier a GKer from Tally transferred to LSU from FSU, is still very fond of Mark because he apparently helped with the transfer and keeps in touch.
    He is very genuine!
Word is Anna wanted to play CB and apparently Mark couldn't promise this (my extrapolation).

It was about positional play. She is a CB for national team and wants to play that position in college. Not where MK wants to play her.

I continue to see photos where Clara continues to sport a knee brace and yet Kristina Lynch has none. Now every surgery is different. Not all ACL injuries or surgeries are created equal. Some are much more difficult.
Hoping Clara AND Kristina are ready for the upcoming season. Anyone have any insight? We've never gotten an extended look at how good CR can be. KL was getting steadily better and more confident as the season went along. Can't wait for August to get here.

I started to go, but by the time I got going, I was going to be 30 minutes late, so I didn't.
I didn't read about it until 1:50 pm today..
    I agree about Dagny.
Anyone with insight from today would be appreciated.

Photo gallery from spring match with UF. Obviously UF centric,
but you get a glance at a few Noles!
For some odd reason, they had a few year old pics which included one with Anna Patten in it. Odd.
Saw Newton mixing it up near UF's goal. Also saw Laberge.

Was it an old picture or was Anna playing? She is still a student at FSU.

    Old picture.
Notice in her picture the gator wore a blue uni.
In the others, they were in white unis.
USCe twitter has already welcomed Anna, so I assume she's there participating.

Does anyone here know who among our injured are playing this spring?
    Emily?
    Clara?
    Brooke?
    I'm sure Kristina isn't.
    Anyone else I'm missing?
    Is Caroline playing?

She was in blue because she is a goalie ;). Unless Anna decided in December to transfer, she is probably still at FSU until spring semester ends. I am not saying she was playing on Saturday, but it sure looks like it. Regardless she will be with USCe in the fall unless something changed.

Dang it CH. I think you are right!
    How often does that happen?;)

Sure wish we got some updates on spring scrimmages.
    Many universities provide that.
    Heck uf even provides it.

Made it out for FSU v Florida spring match

Had not seen either live in quite some time. What a contrast in levels. A bit shocked with the dominance - is that the norm?

It has NOT been the norm; however, it may be the new norm, because
Becky's team has been declining the last year or two. It was gradual until last year they actually lost 10 games, more than they won.
I'm assuming based on the score and what you saw, they haven't turned it around yet.

To be fair, we are among the top 4 to 6 teams in the nation. Time will tell if we are the best.
We need a little injury luck, which we didn't have last year.
