And Reading fall behind 2-1 - only to equalize... Yikes.

They're certainly making their relegation battle interesting.

All in all not a bad result.

Taking a point from the league leaders is a found point.

Miazga walks directly into the starting line-up and holds down the anchor spot. He will be in the EPL soon but one more year at this level of competition would probably work best for him. He is imperious in the air and getting better with distributions, foot work and most importantly thinking!

    Highlights from today:

He's looking good in the Ch'ship but no way he looks likely to ever achieve EPL level. Sorry.

Dunno what "achieve EPL level" means, but I don't doubt that MM, given the passport (I think), Chelski seal, and assuming his Reading season continues with him as "top rated" defender and it leads to another Champs or Ered season with good reviews, could easily get an EPL shot. Whether he does well with that shot is another story, but I'd guess he's in line for an eventual EPL season, at minimum.

You know those 6 added minutes had something to do with their excessive celebrations after scoring the second. Serves them right that Reading scored in the 6th minute of extra time.

Not for nothing but it would be nice to see Leeds back up in the top division again if it comes to pass. They've been gone too long.

Bielsa is summoning a balrog, one of those demons from the old times.

Leeds will make things even more interesting, but its fans still have a rep.

Storied club, ground, fans. What's not to like about a little more sauce on the roast next season?

of course, since I trash talked Nantes earlier, they beat Lyon today. I really need to start betting against myself.

Miazga gets the start today for Reading against Brentford. Reading lead 2-0 late in the first half.

No way Reading holds this lead throughout the second half, given their history.

    The jinx worked!

2-1 final, Reading now 4 points clear of the drop zone.

I was with you... it had 94th minute tying goal all over it. Good for Reading. Still hold a soft spot for them after years of Convey and crew.

Same, and I'm hoping they stay up and give Novakovich a fair shake next season as well.

In a crazy perfect world we could have at least 2 starters at a number of clubs next year.

In a crazy perfect world, there would be no passport limits or work permits and we could have other 20 MLSers in the Championship, in mid-table clubs and below.

They seem pretty happy with him and are thirsting for a permanent move, fwiw.

Although we should expect his level to be above that by now. Holding out hope for a transfer to a relegation-battler in the EPL or a little beyond that in Germany. He showed he can help you survive.

However, his image may be tarnished from his misadventure in France and don't know that he blew prospective suitors away with his play in the Championship.

Leeds and Millwall could drop all the way into the Football Conference and I wouldn't care. Some of the worst sets of fans in England.
