Yeah he was in Miami with his NASL team with Nesta until the league and team folded. I think Maldini is now mostly a figurehead in name only. It must be cool to make $600k and do nothing. Leonardo at least in his first spell , found , utilized , then sold both Kaka and Pato and made a profit for the club. Not sure exactly what former players like Nedved for Juve, Maldini for Milan or Totti for Roma do or bring to their clubs.
Ivan Gazidas wants Maldini as DT. Whatever that is.... Gazidis: 'Il Milan del futuro? Idee, talenti e basi solide. Vorrei Maldini dt ...
Here are the quotes in English: https://www.football-italia.net/138661/gazidis-no-more-big-names https://www.football-italia.net/138660/gazidis-maldini-central-vision His description of their plan is what they should have done in 2009. We're a full decade or more where we could have been if Berlusconi and Galliani had made the difficult decisions at the time they needed to do so. It's going to be a long road, but sustainability is the key as long as UEFA insist on "Financial Fair Play".
Conte is a great manager, but for a club that needs a significant period of stability, I think it's risky to appoint him.
Zlatan may end up playing for AC Milan again. https://galaxygolazo.wordpress.com/2019/11/18/the-man-the-myth-the-zlatan/
Have you seen Mr Li has reappeared?! got his own twitter, football italia are all over it. ready to tell his side of the story apparently. i'm here for it https://www.football-italia.net/146661/yonghong-li-breaks-milan-silence
Mr Li was happy he was able to get most of his money out of China through the backdoor with Elliot. Both are laughing. Too funny.
I just finished Carlo's book Quiet Leadership. Lots of anecdotes about his time at Milan plus contributions from several Milan players in addition to Galliani and others. It was definitely worth the time for any Milanista to read.

#Milan 2018/19 accounts cover a season when they finished 5th in Serie A, their best result for 6 years, but were eliminated at the group stage of the Europa League. Also their first under the ownership of American hedge fund, Elliott Management Corporation. Some thoughts follow.— Swiss Ramble (@SwissRamble) February 11, 2020 I just saw this Swiss Ramble thread from back in February. They've reviewed Milan's finances through 2018/19 season, the latest available at the time. Interesting read. As always, qualification for the CL would be a huge help financially, but we need to increase other sources of revenue as well.
