I wonder if the announcers for the Thailand World Cup games will call the players by their last names? Thai people are rarely called by their last name in Thailand. For example, the Prime Minister, Prayut Chanocha, is usually called Prayut, sometimes Prayut Chanocha, but almost never just Chanocha. It's similar I understand in Iceland. We should be calling Dagny Brinjarsdottir just Dagny rather than Brinjarsdottir.
