    Here we go,

I was a bit browsing the euro2020 website when I saw that:

    https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/ticketing/

12 June - 12 July will be the Phase 1 for ticket allocation.

I am very curious about the price structure, I can’t except that the price will be the same in London, Baku and Bucarest for example but let’s see.

I'm gonna bet that the prices will be the same throughout, but discounted tickets will be available for nationals of some or all host countries.

I don't like how tickets go on sale so early. I guess its okay for people living in host cities, but for those that are travelling significant distances its pretty challenging to plan that far ahead.

Can we expect tickets to be same, if not cheaper, than Russia 2018 prices? I paid about $100 IIRC for Cat 3 tickets.

As someone who went to 5 matches at WC2018 on a budget and bought tickets very early, I would suggest just buy the tickets and plan everything else after. Its not too tricky given the amount of time.

Euro 2016 price were cheaper than the World Cup.

Regarding the organisation it is very tricky at the moment, I am not sure yet which city I really want to explore.

Does anyone know if UEFA Euro tickets in general are more readily reserved for European residents?

Wondering if any Americans have experience applying to prior Euro championships. Thanks.

The issue is about knowing exactly how much time I can be away from the office 11 months in advance.

Russia 2018 was a bit easier since the first phase of ticket sales was about 3-4 months later. And WCs tend not to get sold out as fast.

These are the prices for 2016.

Just ad 40-50% on top of them. It'll be slightly cheaper than WC 2018 but much more expensive than Euro 2016. I think they'll keep Cat4 for the national of host cities but maybe restricted to "poorer" countries. I'd be surprised if English or Germans get cheap cat4 options. LOL

it is going to be interesting if they are going with mobile tickets as with nations league and europa league, or with paper tickets as they are obviously doing with the champions league!

Did the UCL tickets have a chip inside the paper ticket similar to WC2018?

I checked UCL tickets from last few years, for last three years tickets are absolutely identical, printed on the same paper with same pattern, only host logo is different, and they do not have RFID inside!

Americans can buy Euro Cup tickets. At least that was the case in 2016.

Question about payments, uefa says they are not at fault with any 'problems with the bank when tickets are purchased', should one inform the bank that £x is being debited as soon as the tickets are bought online or should there be no issue at all just using a normal debit card (as long as there are funds in the bank)?

Well, you would have to give your bank a range (i.e. upto £x), not a precise dollar-figure (since you won't know how much they're going to charge you until they do).

Oh I am talking about the uefa tickets for europa that have been successful, can you just pay by debit card or will you need to tell bank 600 euro is coming out, i.e. if there is enough funds in the account is there a need to warn bank upfront of this charge before you make payment via the website (scared the bank may reject this large payment -( )

I can't see there being any special cheap category tickets for host cities. No country has a huge number of tickets to sell and many of those tickets will be for matches including that country. There might be a higher proportion of seats in the lowest category in some cities. UEFA and FIFA mess around with the mix of tickets between matches anyway, depending on demand, don't they?

By the sounds of things they are planning on doing a mixture of both. I was hoping they would stick to paper/physical tickets (although with Nations League finals you could pay extra to have a souvenir ticket sent out to you).

this sounds to me rather like mobile tickets only, at least for general sales tickets. hospitality might stay paper
it would be great if they at least offer souvenir tickets for old guys, kids do not understand need for paper tickets anyway

I think as the sports world goes away from paper tickets, it makes those old souvenirs from past tournaments that much cooler.
