So we don't have all the details of the tour yet other than they will be in Boston, and probably New York.

Because we were planning a NE summer vacation, I looked at the possible dates they would most likely come and could play in Boston. PL starts the weekend of 8/10, so based on past summers, I expect they'll want to be a back in the UK a week in advance, with the possibility of week long camp in Europe before that. To do that they would need to finish up in the US by the weekend of 7/27. The Yankees are in Boston that weekend, which means the Boston game can't be that weekend, but a NY game could. The Redsox are on the road the weekend of 7/20, so my guess is that is when the Boston game would be, followed by a midweek game somewhere else, finishing in NY the weekend of 7/27. Its possible they go earlier in July, but for at least the past 2 years, the first overseas friendly has been the 3rd Saturday of July, so I'd expect Klopp to want to keep to that schedule.

So I'm booked to be in the Boston area that week, hopefully it falls into place as I hope and I'll be able to make the Fenway game.

I liked Fenway when we visited back in 2017.

Is this for sure? Because I just saw them beat the crap out of United in Michigan last year, so I figured it would be time to head back to Asia?

I've STILL never seen them in Fenway, I'd love to make that happen.

Yes it's for sure they are coming to the US again, definitely playing in Boston, but not part of the ICC. Other details to be confirmed. Klopp likes to US training facilities better, easier trip, etc.

Have you looked at a map recently? :) South Bend is half the distance to Chicago than to Indianapolis. Detroit is just as close.

That there will be plenty of people within a reasonable drive to go to that game...

yeah ok, but why not just pick a location that already has a lot more people?

PS not that I really care btw, I just find it curious.

To give some that aren't on the coasts opportunities to see them, I'd think.

And plus it can still be a cash cow because it's still America and they can still charge big ticket prices filling 80-90k football stadia. So it still ticks all those important "fundraising" boxes. Last year at Ann Arbor was a big success on all those levels, at least it certainly felt like it was from my seat.

I get the staying away from the coasts thing (apart from the NE) .... but why not, say, Chicago?

Probably lots of reasons... I mean, I'd imagine it's because they were in Chicago a handful of years ago, outside Detroit last year, cheaper to hang in South Bend which maximizes the money, another historic stadium to visit as opposed to just being at Soldier Field again?

I don't know how compelling those are individually, but it does make some slight sense to me to mix it up a little bit just for the sake of it. It can be explained as simply as why not go somewhere new to another massive stadium, I'd think.

I know of at least a 100 fans ready to drive from Kansas City and we are nine hours drive away - they will draw in fans from a lot of surrounding states instead of playing on the coasts where we would probably have to fly.

Liverpool is playing in South Bend. Paul McCartney is playing in Fort Wayne (really!). What the hell is wrong with Indianapolis?

Apparently pre-sale for the games starts in about an hour (10.00am EST) if you are a club member. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability

Link on there for the Boston takes you to the Red Sox page, but it doesn't say anything about the pre-sale. Aggh.
