I guess I don't know how to answer that question in a public forum, but it boils down to knowing the right people. I was in the right place at the right time on Tuesday before the announcement.

I actually got to meet Pires today. He was at the Rapids press conference announcing the friendly. IMG_0337.jpg

I wasn’t expecting anyone from Arsenal to be there. I just used it as an excuse to leave work early today. Everyone was pretty surprised when we realized he was there.

I know I'm going to date myself here a bit, but am I the only one who thinks Pires looks like Yakov Smirnoff?!?!

Looking forward to us meeting Bayern in L.A.!!!

MY OLD STOMPING GROUNDS!!! But who will draw the bigger crowd, as Bayern Munich also have a pretty extensive US contingent of fans and probably the most any Bundesliga club has here in America, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a "Bayern America" named supporters group here in the States.

But...... WE GOONERS ARE READY!!! How good are tickets going for down in Carson??? I used to live in LA (in the San Fernando Valley, mainly Northridge and Sepulveda as a Kings hockey fan having season tickets from 1977-87) and know most of the ways of the freeways down there.

Queen City Gunners were offered pre-sale group tickets by the ICC at midfield. 100 level seats at $200 a ticket, or 300 level at $155 a ticket.
Not sure where the Arsenal America blocks will be.

Wonder how much cheaper the tickets would be if this was simply a friendly instead of and "ICC" friendly?

Granted this was 5 years ago, but In 2014 I paid $25 to Arsenal Americal for membership and was able to buy a ticket to see Arsenal v. NYRB in the supporters section (219) for $46. Membership came with a really nice Arsenal America scarf too!

Maybe ask @Rapid-Gooner? Since that match is non-ICC.

That was also a non-ICC match so presumably it was "discounted" accordingly? I got my tickets for that match from a STH whose seats were included in that match and I paid in the $30's IIRC.

Since this summer's ICC tickets go on "pre-sale" tomorrow, what I'd most like to know is:

    1) Is that pre-sale open to anyone who goes on the ICC site tomorrow at whatever time? Because I "signed up" in advance with my email address and that seemed to do nada as far as getting me further into their site/info. And their site seems general awful in providing ticketing info.

    2) What's the deal with ArsenalAmerica and ICC tickets? I haven't been an AA member for nearly 10 years, the last time I was thinking of using them to secure tix.

I'm not sure about ticket prices. Arsenal America is supposedly sending an email today with info about tickets for all of the games in America. General onsale for the game against the Rapids isn't until the 16th, so prices are still a mystery.

For those of us who let their ArsenalAmerica memberships lapse ;) can anyone who receives an email from them today, please share the info here?

As for the pre-sale, the best details I found were on TicketMaster which said 10am ET 4/2/19. But it's not clear how those tickets will be sold... through TM or ICC or ??

Went to Real Madrid-LA Galaxy back in...2005? All the galacticos still on the squad, $75.

I am not an Arsenal America member this year, but I know they instruct members not to share codes on social media. Most will adhere to that simply because they'll opt to buy their tickets first rather than waste time enabling others to do the same.

If you just want to go to the game, there will be plenty of tickets available for general sale in DC and Charlotte on the 9th. You'll probably even save money, as the high end tickets are what people will be after today. The LA and Colorado games may be slimmer pickin's, as their capacity is much smaller (27k and 19k respectively).

Was not thinking that an AA member would share some secret code, rather that they might share details of ticketing/pricing, so that we might decide whether it was worth re-joining as an AA member to get tickets through them.

Me, i'm not really in a position to pull the trigger on anything right now anyway. And with an 80,000 seater stadium in DC, I might even take my chances on something like StubHub later towards the date. IDK.

Just now I was able to see ticket prices on TicketMaster (they've been open for 1 hour of pre-sale) and I looked specifically at the DC match. Here's what I saw, while I had "Arsenal Supporters" selected:

4th tier: starting at $60 + fees (and those TM fees tend to be substantial in my experience)
    3rd tier: starting at $90 + fees
    2nd tier: starting at $95 + fees
    1st tier: starting at $115 + fees

Also, I think I saw a certain section in corner of 1st tier labelled "Arsenal Supporters" at $125, but I lost visibility of that and never got it back.

Still curious what tickets via ArsenalAmerica would do for you.

Those prices are insane. I paid $160 to see Arsenal - United at the Emirates for a league game. I'd never pay more than $40 for a friendly. Save your airline miles and fly to London instead.

with no European tournament this summer, the only players likely not to come on tour would be Torreira, (Copa America), Iwobi and Aubameyang (AFCON).

By contrast, the biggest names to appear at the NYRB match 5 years ago (which was a World Cup year) were Wilshere, Ramsey, Rosicky, Arteta and Cazorla.

I'd love to fly to London and see a match at the Emirates, but even if the flight was free and you try to do it in less than 48 hours, you'd be hard pressed to spend less than $700 in London. And even then, what's the point of a 48 hour trip to London?

I hear you. But I have to say that I've done short trips to London and they've been great! Last one was 2016, for just 72hrs there, based around our watershed match vs Chelsea, 3-0 remember that one? I was so lucky. And granted I stayed with a STH friend who was there at the time, so that helped a ton on the costs. I just had to pay for air, food & local transport. I would do it again, but sadly I'm not sure those planets will align again anytime soon.

Charlotte listing for Arsenal Supporters wasn't showing an upper tier option yet. Would much prefer to pay less than $60.

    Stupid a** ICC bulls***.

There was an issue with presale codes so Arsenal America Los Angeles said most bought $55 GA tickets instead. Their supporter section was going to be $100 + fees.

    I bought 3 GA + fees = $71 each. And I didn't have to join AA, haha.
