Today was quite possible the slowest day ever. Never in my life would I have thought school and work could be boring at the same time. They usually should cancel each other between boredom and fun, but it was neither of that. I love college life.
Massive. Think of all the new data points for the system! How do clumsy slow defenders fit into the system? How do players who can't defend, placed as defensive players, defend? How do strikers with no touch strike? Yedlin finally gets the armband. He will play the best game of his life and others will benefit. GGG clearly saw something in Chile that says this lineup is a good one. Interested ot see how it turns out. But wont watch until MB leaves the pitch. Enough is most definitely enough.
Holy crap you made me look stupid in class for laughing at that post. I'm taking a data science course, so it's extra-funny talking about "new data points". Can't believe we can't find a competent coach, and we waited for this goddamn long so that GGG could trot out Zardes, Gonzalez, and Bradley in the same game in 2019. Makes Dave Sarachan seem like a breath of fresh air. gg Chile, the only way this doesn't turn into a rout is if Chile doesn't try. This lineup would get eviscerated against a motivated Chile a la Sarachan's lineup vs. England.
I feel mostly bad that GGG lost his starting right back and now has to play a...right back. Like I said before: GGG is Bruce Arena / Bob Bradley's greatest hits. Get ready for more of the same, baby.
Not only a garbage lineup but we continue to waste valuable time as a team. Another wasted international window after wasting an entire year.
I also am not watching tonight. What a sad, uninspiring waste of a match. Going to watch Curse of Oak island. More interesting.
I'll be watching the boxscore for subs. I can't stomach this. even if we win by 4 goals, is this the team we are building for the future? I think any fan can think of 10 players better suited to play tonight. I feel bad for US Soccer fans.
Whelp, based off Big Soccer history, I'm assuming Gonzo will play the game of this life, and Zardes will score a brace with both goals coming from a perfect pass out of the midfield from the bald eagle himself.
It's only a matter of time before guys like Pulisic and McKennie says 'f*cckkk this. Enough is enough" and quit on the US Soccer.
*Greg runs out 11 GK's* GGG Defenders go wild: "Wow, so avant-garde for an American coach! He's so cerebral!" "Haters just don't understand, Greg has to try this tactic to cross it off the list of all possible lineups!" "Next game we'll run out 10 GK's and Michael Bradley, then 9 GK's, MB, and Omar Gonzalez, and by the 2026 World Cup we'll be ready to compete with an entire team of mostly field-players! " "Everyone else just doesn't get his *system*. Pep Guardiola uses 3 GK's, only one at a time!"
I feel bad for the players that do give a ********, believed in the USMNT, and passionately wanted to win.
We've done the same thing in the past, most recently under Bruce Arena and it eventually cost us dearly. Let's replay that old tune, please.
