Yes. I assume you are curious about his intentions and character. He's not on some ego trip out for power or money (he has plenty of that). He's a very respected and revered figure in the community. From my interactions with him. He comes across as genuine about just wanting to help and improve lives over in Bosnia. He knows that he won't win, this is mostly just a coming out party to get his name out. This is part of a long-term project; he will most likely start his own political party.
From what I've read, he's a good guy. At the same time, the presidency, while symbolically important, is made up of three people representing three distinct visions. And even if he somehow wins and is very effective, he can't really do much to improve people's lives due to the constraints imposed by Dayton and the toxic politics there. And whenever someone, even with good intentions, forms a political party, it tends to evolve to something authoritarian. Just look at another good guy Zeljko Komsic: he leaves a corrupt party, forms his own, and is still the president of his own party years five years later. More parties won't solve problems there. It's something a lot deeper than that. And there are plenty of good people who've been sucked into that system and ended up being just as corrupt as the others. I hope it doesn't happen to this guy, but he'll soon realize that politics there is mostly about creating and maintaining your own fiefdom. There is no tradition of accountability or adherence to any modern political ideology other than nationalism. If the international community really cared, they'd create a strong protectorate and mass arrest thousands of politicians from all three sides and institute reforms from education to healthcare to everything else. But that won't happen. So the country is stuck in never ending misery. No individual, even as qualified and well intentioned as this guy, will change it.
I've heard similar things from ours. Years ago, he brought a group of economists, engineers and other colleagues to Bosnia and sat down with a bunch of politics to talk about economic policies and urban planning, and their reaction why basically "why did you bring them". He came away generally shocked by their reaction.

Not gonna lie it's hard to navigate on Tapatalk. Also no welcome ceremony for me? What is this? 2014?
This weekend has been the longest and most painful one I've probably ever had in my life. My mother went unconscious around 3 pm Saturday and has been in a coma ever since, doctors have told us they believe the cause was a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and that they'll attempt to wake her up tomorrow to see if there's still hope whether she can survive or not. Later that day, my oldest sister and her husband got into a pretty bad car accident when a van hit them from behind and completely shattered the back of their car and trunk, although luckily their kids weren't in the vehicle and they got away without any severe injuries. Pray for her, guys.
I’m really sorry to hear about your mother, sister and brother in law. Keep us in touch, and let us know if there is anything you end.
Just to give an update to you guys - she's been in ICU on life support for the past 30 days now and she woke up from her coma about 5 days in, but all she was able to do was track us with her eyes although at least she recognized us. They did a tracheotomy (sp?) on her about 2 weeks ago and she didn't wake up for another 5 days which worried us, but she eventually did and has slowly showed more progress since. Up until yesterday, she wasn't able to move any part of her body below her head although she would wince when we touched her which meant that she could at least feel it, but she moved her right hand and feet a little yesterday so I guess she's slowly regaining her functions physically. She even seemingly smiled too although that might just be a result of the tracheotomy. She's still unable to talk, sit up, eat, or any other things most of us do without thinking, but she's breathing more and more on her own each day and it seems like she's slowly regaining her functions too. It's going to be a very long process clearly as she hasn't even begun her physical therapy/rehab yet, but we all have a lot more reason to hope and be optimistic for her now than we did at any point over the previous 4 weeks. Just keep praying, guys, and thanks for your support. I really appreciate all of it.

Yo you need a site dawg. Should be back home in March - I'll stop by the shop. Show solidarity. Where is everyone?!!?
Croatia tried to get some Salafis to place weapons into a mosque and then partner with RS government TV to paint Bosniaks as terrorists to further a case for a third entity and eventual succession This is huge. Aside from proving that the Croatian state has intentionally manufactured the Bosniak terrorism spiel it peddles in Brussels, it also implicates a journalist from RTRS and the CRO consul in Tuzla, showing the multifaceted angle to this and a wider conspiracy. https://t.co/HeuzjqpLN2— Aleksandar Brezar (@brezaleksandar) March 13, 2019

Life can truly change in a split second. I hope you are finding enough support through this difficult time bud.
wtf apparently 2 teenagers in Bosnia broke into a house robbed and stabbed an old couple. They died and they stole their car and Ended up getting caught eventually but I'm reading they will get 30 days in jail only?
Here on the ground - can verify. Btw - ran into a politician the other day (don't remember who it was) - I asked him how do you open a political party here and he said "I don't know." Lmao
Should have asked something easier like 'where do i get some cevapi?'.....It's not surprising to see the country so dysfunctional when most people are like that and simply don't care.
