Can't wait to watch the 1st half but based upon what I saw from the 60th minute on, that wasn't a game we should consider a win. It's complacency in eeking out a scoreline like that which causes us to never progress beyond where we are now. I've got one foot on the Bento out train.
For the most part, I like the job Bento has done. But his player selection definitely does leave a lot to be desired. Also, it feels like GK play was the difference in this game as their goalie was awful and ours saved us in the end
I wholeheartedly agree. While a goal is a goal I guess, I would've felt a lot better if our goals had been "normal" goals
Satisfying friendly matches with 2 wins but sadly both PSH and LKI got no playing time. And of course, SHM scored again against a team with yellow shirt.
Watching JWY was painful. KFA should hand him a ban to advance our football. Na Sang Ho shouldn't be on the team to begin with but is getting minutes over players who are straight up better than him. Man..Bento's selections and decisions are just something else.. Other than that, Sonny elevating his game against better opposition and CHW..good stuff.
Na sang ho wasnt bad today. Did what he was asked to do. I dont think lsw could of done half of what nsh did in 10 mins.
You're right. He made some runs..wasn't bad. But the run of play was with Colombia, we couldn't hold on to the ball and he did very little to change that. Would have liked to see LKI come on for that reason and to a lesser extent LSW just based off their ability to play quick in tight, hold onto the ball and draw fouls to relieve pressure. But hey, a win is a win..? Really hope the excuse for not playing some of the guys we called up was due to the adjustment period they need. I personally hate seeing undeserving J-League bench players in this team getting minutes over better players.
Having a better goalie is legitimate. I've seen something very similar to the 1. Korean goal on the Hungary- Croatia game. Kalinić absolutely f***d up the save he had to make. Szalai didn't give a damn. Korea should neither, but in fact, should implement daring shots from weird angles as a tactic.
CHW is exactly the kind of keeper one needs in a defensive, counterattacking system. Of course, the defense needs to be able to protect the penalty box, too. Korea did this fairly well today. Other than that last-minute mess, Colombia had limited chances in the penalty box.
Yeah, the keeper should have done better, but the shot had some sting on it. Not a given that it should be saved.
CHW made the key saves at the end but he comically gave the ball away from a goal kick minutes before
I'd be interested in the BSK comments on the differences between that goal and this: The goal is at 2:29
