I'm not even sure he'll play 102 more matches in his career, let alone in the Bundesliga.

He has 27 appearances in the last 2 seasons. He'd need to stay healthy and play 30-plus games in the Bundesliga until he's 34. Not a lot of players doing that, especially players who have been rumored to move recently.

Cherundolo the only one who's not German-American on that list. That was a very long stay on his part. One man clubs are very rare thing especially in this day and age.

as for the question unlikely, he has to play another 3 seasons for that to happen.

Unfortunately, I am starting to get the feeling that will be a big IF.

Kicker roasted just about everyone on Gladbach. 6's are bad news but they seem less rare to me than in years past. Maybe I am wrong but there are two 6's in this match alone. It was an important match for BMG as losing to Fortuna caused them to drop out of top 4/CL spot with the loss.

I watched the game, and I have to say, he looked terrible. Slow/bad decision making on defence and not being able to get into good positions to stop attacks. Not sure if he's ailing or just had an off night, but the kicker rating isn't far from what I saw. He was playing RB, so if this is an example of how he is playing now, it doesn't bode well for any callups or frankly, for keeping a place on the Gladbach starting roster.

or maybe he is depressed right now for basically being told he is a maybe consideration by a national team coach who was an associate for years. And then the coach plays an inferior player at the same age, instead.

This recent top form could have had USMNT- motivation behind it.

His club is just a couple of points out of qualifying for CL. One would think that would be enough motivation but who can tell anything with FJ? I have a feeling he has caused more than one coach to pull out his hair.
