If you have not watched many NAC games (and I have not) I would caution about taking too much gospel from the Dutch press. NAC is clear unmitigated crap this year. Brown comes with City "pedigree" and that gets a different curve that if he was plucked from obscurity from a local B team or something. I have no idea, aside from the one game I actually saw, how he is playing, but he looked neither way crappier or way less crappy than NAC overall to my eye. He may have attitude problems- or may simply not be good enough to keep the Titanic afloat. I'd like to see him on another team for a minute. Too bad about the U23 callus.
Did he have a choice? I can't remember he signed on a free or if City bought him. Can Dutch clubs compete with English clubs to get young Americans (on a freebie)? What can they say to convince our young guys?
To me it’s definitely a bad sign that he hasn’t forced his way in and established himself as top choice in really any of his gigs. But most players in his position don’t make it big, which is why it bothers me when anyone assumes it is a failure of character. To make it at this level you have to be so self obsessed that to also be a normal person is pretty difficult. Success is probably more a sign of character flaws than failure. But he did make TOTW a few weeks ago, which suggests there is something there to work with or work from.
is it because he spent too much time with the youth teams as opposed to with whatever club team he was with?
The euphemism "relaxed" suddenly takes on a new meaning....the Temptations ain't just a singing group.
No idea what you mean. The only bad news we got here from the Netherlands was the shooting w/3 fatalities, but we've got one of those every week in the USA.
Ah, well. It's not like EPB will be vulnerable for MAGA like shit after these elections. Calm down, Freisland & family. Take a Beerenburger and relax.
Let's not jump to conclusions, as I havenot heared anything pointing in that direction, the seduction of May Jane that is.
In my playing experience, and from watching games, when a team's defenders look so bad as appears to be the case for Breda, the midfielders deserve most of the blame. Defenders left to the mercy of attacks abetted by undisciplined midfielders can't really help much across the full 90 min. The attack must be at least controlled and stymied by the midfield in order for the defense to be truly useful.

I would not be so sanguine. Wilders was a clown. That guy is a sociopath. And a mildly charismatic sociopath. It is not good for the Netherlands.
Even the front runner of both and who eclips both of them in playing the media, Pim Fortuyn, never got more than 26 seats=around 16% of the votes. So to make a dent he has to gain alot of turf.
Again, I haven't watched that much, but to me it's all such a mess I'm not sure anyone can be totally sure who is being pulled down and who are the stones. What is clear is no one can swim well enough to save them.
