Well, so far with the first halves over or nearly over, Gooch is the only one of our guys playing not behind in the score. 0-0.
And Gooch is our last man standing today: they got a tie, away to the team #2, 0-0. The only Yank not to lose a game in Europe this afternoon --it's something.
Awesome, McKinze started. Completely missed that, last time I checked he was getting garbage minutes.

Doesn't look like it. He seems to have gone off the boil a bit since January - still working hard and well, just not as much "spark" as there was - but is still getting starts and comes off the bench quite effectively and for non-garbage minutes as well in other games. It's no surprise. It's a long season down at that level - yesterday was Sunderland's 38th league game of the season - and he went 90' in nearly every game before New Year. On top of that, his missus has just had their first kid, so a lot of nerves before and not a lot of sleep after, and League One makes the Championship look like La Liga. He's probably just a bit fatigued. He's still a pretty important player to the team. If he closes the season well, all will be, well, "well."
Hopefully. Here's wikipedia quoting a BBC source: Filming has been undertaken during the 2018–19 season, with a view to producing a second series.[14] Speaking to BBC Sport in February 2019, Turner said that they had received greater access since the change of ownership.[14]
Gooch came off the bench in the Checkatrade Trophy final and nailed his PK, but Sunderland lost. 75' #POMPEY 0-1 #SAFC@10LewisMorgan has been replaced by @LyndenGooch as Jack Ross makes his first change of the afternoon. 15 to go at Wembley...🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/gsOiDA7yAT— Sunderland AFC (@SunderlandAFC) March 31, 2019 .@LyndenGooch gets the lads back on level terms...✅❌✅✅✅— Sunderland AFC (@SunderlandAFC) March 31, 2019

good 3-0 win, three points back behind Barnsley with two games in hand. Hopefully they can attack Barnsley's goal diff too. Its looking like its all gonna count.
So, if they get promoted, what comes next? Bringing in loads more players or sticking with the current roster?
Mostly sticking with the current roster would be my guess. There's a number of players there who were regarded as EPL quality (bottom 1/4) or at least Championship level when they went down and who have stepped up with the change of owner, new coach, etc. Go up, and see if they have the ability at D2 level and consolidate would be the target for next season - if they make it.
