The problem Brad has is that he keeps looking at a potential DP in the eye and telling him: "I am Number 2, You are Number 6!".... and the blighter looks Brad in the eye and tells him: " I am not Number 6! I am a Free Man!" Freedom just ain't sufficiently Revolutionary in the Patriot Village, eh?
I am reading this as they have a deal monetarily but now working on a release date with the other team.
My German is a bit rusty, but this seems to say Bobby Wood may be coming to MLS: https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...r-usa-geht-wood-in-die-mls-60554752.bild.html
Revs are 8th: https://www.mlssoccer.com/allocation Last updated Jan 23rd. On Dec 10th, TOR traded up to #2 (with SJE). On Dec 27th, TOR flipped spots with CIN, acquiring the #1 slot and using it on Laurent Ciman. After which they moved down to the bottom (#24). On Jan 23rd, they flipped spots again, TOR getting the #1, CIN getting #24 and Nick Hagglund.
Andrew Farrell ruptured his retina in a mid-February training session when a ball inadvertently ricocheted off the post and hit him in the left eye. Meeting w/ a specialist on Friday, hoping for good news. Initial timeline had him targeting early April.More later. #NERevs— Jeff Lemieux (@jeff_lemieux) March 12, 2019
Wood has had the misfortune to be on a couple of Bundesliga teams that haven't had the shadow of an offense. In general, I find the Bundesliga to be a tough league to be a striker anyway. I think he'd do well in MLS, and I'd love to see him on the Revs.
According to the link on the MLS website, Bobby Wood is not one of the "select U.S. Men’s National Team players" subject to the Allocation Ranking List. I'm assuming he could be had on a low DP/TAM deal.
So he's not "allocation-worthy," but he is coin-flip worthy? How do they decide who gets him if more than one team want him? The one thing the League does not want is for teams to openly bid against each other for players like this.
Since he's not on the Allocation Ranking List, "discovery" rights would apply. Usually you hear some rumors about who has the rights to certain players, but I haven't heard anything about Wood, even though he's been rumored to MLS in the past.

I wouldn’t sweat it much. The REVS are far more than 1 good player away from having a competent team.
Yeah, I've been thinking about that too. I almost wish they wouldn't toss out teasers like that. I guess it'll happen when it happens - whatever it is!
I'm glad you said "almost". Telling us what they are doing, even if their projections are overly optimistic, is still 1000x better than radio silence...
the New York times article that just came out is now saying may or July for the signing of the new DP
