I dont feel we can praise Hasebe enough. Seriously. I just wanted to update you all ahead of tomorrows 1/8 final in EL against Inter.

Kicker now rates Hasebe as the best field player in the whole league. There is six players ahead of him with better ratings, all goalkeepers. What a player!

He has totally nullified Lautaro Martinez.
He didn't miss a pass, on the contrary, he moved forward from the backline launching his mates numerous times.
I never seen Hasebe play as CB, he was simply perfect, brave and full of stamina despite his age.
The only regret: he took a stupid yellow card for complaining about the penalty that thr referre didn't call: now if he will take another yellow in Milan he will be suspended for the final4.

Maybe he's better even because he retired from JNT: less intercontinental trip, more time to rest, he can focus only in his club duty and role.
Anyway I think they have the chance to reach the final.

Seems like he broke his nose against Inter. Maybe he can play with a mask. Lets see.

Yes, all of the news still state he did break his nose. He wore a mask a couple minutes at the beginning of the match, then threw it away. I guess it was too uncomfortable or hindering his view.

Did you miss Kicker rating Hasebe the best CB in Germany over the 1st half of the season?

    Lautaro Martinez owned
    Keita Balde owned

Bergomi (former Inter and Italy CB) commenting the match for Sky Italia praised Hasebe saying he had a perfect reading of his opponents movement anticipating them and proposing himself forward when needed.
He cancelled a younger, faster and stronger Keita and had another perfect match.

Tomorrow we will know who will be his next victim.

I feel very proud whenever I see a Japanese, or an Asian for that matter, captaining a European side. Hail Kaiser Hasebe!
