Week 2 had a lot of stuff! An El Tri player was shown Red for a stomp, Chara was shown a Card for the Ear Flick hurd/seen round the world, FCC earned their first ever MLS point & printed T-Shirts to commemorate it, the Revs, Philly and Orlando are still themselves, LAFC look like bonafide Shield contenders, De Bore is having a slow start to his MLS sojourn, & VAR decisions are front and center again! Let;s see what Week 3 brings us shall we? As always all game times are Eastern, national TV games are noted & all non-national TV games can thankfully be seen on ESPN+ and not Flo Sports. This is the MLS N&A game thread, so keep it neutral in these parts! Saturday, March 16 CHI Vs. SEA 1:00PM CBS Vs. FCD 2:00PM HOU Vs. VAN 3:00PM NYR Vs. SJE 3:30PM UniVision/Twitter ORL Vs. Relive Week 2 in all it's glory: Man I still rock my "First Three Points in MLS Galaxy over the MetroStars" shirt on a regular basis.
As with last summer, the Sounders are showing I am their good luck charm - if I am away and can’t watch them, they seem to do well.
I'm just going to point out that I was close to calling Atlanta being FCC's first victim. Not that I hold grudges or anything, @jaykoz3, @firefan2001.
To hell with soccer! This is my new sport of choice: This *might* be the most dramatic finish to a baby race ever 👶 pic.twitter.com/N7jVVebJbJ— ESPN (@espn) March 13, 2019
The final goal wasn't great. It looked like something United would be punished for. The rest wasn't bad except for 1:14. My thoughts were "Is that? Does he know? He must know. Oh. Wow. He didn't know. Wow. That's not good."
Swansea, eh? Celina’s penalty for Swansea 😳 pic.twitter.com/VH7HeXAhAV— Jamie Plummer (@Jampa9) March 13, 2019 Thx, Jay!

Hell of a goal by King of Indy Eleven, against Charlotte. And now Gibson scores. Up 0-2, on the road.
In the keeper's defense, one of the teams wasn't wearing an all white kit, so how could he be able to tell the players apart?
Just for those who watch for youngsters in the MLS games ... one of our favorite topics, Andrew Carleton, is playing for ATL2 right now against Louisville. So we know he won't get anything more than a late cameo in the 1st team's Sunday game against Philly.
Seems to happen around this time every year. There were several preseason fitness failures both this year and last so it's important to get the next generation ample experience. Plus, from what I understand the CBA allows for a certain number of trial referees, ARs, 4ths, etc. per season so if you see someone who's either not on the PRO roster or is a PRO VAR getting a whistle, that's what's going on.
Definitely need to bring in new blood. Wasn't it just last week that a linesman cramped up about 15 or 20 minutes into the game and had to be subbed off? Lol
Hell of a game in Charlotte. 2-3 now, with Indy hanging on. PS Dominic Oduro plays for Charlotte? Man, good to see.
Carleton wasn't great in the first half, but is looking VERY dangerous in the 2nd. Still no score though.
