Gyasi Zardes, who played with a separated shoulder last night: “I’m in a lot of pain right now. The numbing has gone away.” Said no surgery needed or planned.”— Adam Jardy (@AdamJardy) November 12, 2018 ********ing legend. Can't wait to see him break the scoring record next season.
We need to build around him. Better support for him on the wing combined with an attacking partner to take pressure off of him could go a long way to building long-term success for him here in Columbus. Also, I have got to think the injury is why he did not get called up for the MNT games.
It would be nice if the Gyasi hype train left the Columbus station more often. Wasn't his split something like 18 goals at home and 2 on the road?
I think that reflects the more defensive shape of our midfield on the road than Gyassi though. He is up on an island on the road more times than not.
I think, including the playoff games, the team only had 13 goals away from home. The Zardes split is a chicken v. egg thing, I guess: is Zardes' split a reflection of the team or is the team's split a reflection of Zardes?
Have to give Gyasi a lot of credit. He led the team in regular-season games played (33, all starts), and minutes played (2948). I can't remember when or why he missed one (national team call-up?). All those times we played 3 in a week, he started. Then he played every minute of the playoffs, even after a separated shoulder.
Did it for the club, now go do it for country, Gyasinho! Gyasi Zardes aims for another phase of renewal under Gregg Berhalter "Gyasi Zardes rejuvenated his career last year under Gregg Berhalter, and now he's looking to do something similar with the US men's national team. The 27-year-old striker scored a career-best 19 goals in his first campaign with Columbus Crew SC, tied for fourth-most in Major League Soccer, and he's the most experienced striker in Berhalter's first camp as national team coach."
I think I can see myself in the stands on this one. Saw Gyasi walking down the tunnel after the game, and told him "nice goals". He said "Thanks man". Twas a good Saturday
Yes. I just conduct the train. But I have no idea how to do graphics and any text would likely contain tYpEos. Thank you for your service.
