In other news, my kid is not going to be allowed to ditch school and miss a test today to go drinking with Dad. (Good news is Dad has no such prohibition- AND an active Lyft account...)
What's the occasion? The afternoon Yank on Yank 1BL action that will probably feature no Yanks when it's all said and done? There might be one too many yanks in there somewhere.
Owen Hargreaves: "I love him (Hudson-Odoi). He's 18-years-old and every time he plays he impacts the game. But they have just spent £50m, £60m on Pulisic. There is no way he is a better player than Hudson-Odoi, not in a million years."— Vince™ (@Blue_Footy) March 8, 2019
No occasion, I just think if Chelsea can come to America for spring friendly I can go to the bar on a weekday afternoon. And if CP can stay home and play in competitive matches that mean something, my kid can darn well take a test. I aspire to live like the footie universe.
I just rewatched a ton of Pulisic's career highlights. One thing I noticed was how many of them were either reaction plays from set pieces/counters in the box. It's not hard to imagine a change of scenery really being in his best interests. I think he never really figured out how to work well with Gotze. Sancho is a much better finisher but way less of a creator than Pulisic. As more of just a traditional out and out winger, he combines much better with Gotze. I really hope that Chelsea keeps a hold of Hazard for a year, because I think Pulisic is going to thrive next to someone that not only creates chances, but is a finisher as well.
Chelsea was hoping that transfer ban would be frozen as long as they had an outstanding appeal. FIFA just ruled against them.
His former wife has stripped him from a considerable part of his fortune...maybe he likes to keep what isleft.
Puli STARTING on the bench. Favre with a 4-1-4-1 line up. A bit strange here. I'll be watching the RB game instead.
Man. CP need to rethink who he takes advice. And If no one is advising him, he should consider getting an adviser. Here is to eating crow this time next year
Put Chris Cross in. BVB are lucky to have a goal. Having trouble breaking down Stuttgart's D, and could use his width + take on ability.
Technical assist for Pulisic. He didn't mean it, but displayed some nice footwork in traffic to get away from a couple defenders, which in turn put it on a plate for Alcacer who buries it. 2-1 BVB. If Alcacer's not there maybe Pulisic has the hit.
goooooooalllll! 3-1 and Christian seals it with the slashing run and help along across the keeper by Pulisic. Not a clean hit, didn't need to be.
