Tyler Adams gets the start today as Leipzig visit Nurnberg. The match is being shown live on FS1 in the US.
There were a ton of tickets available. I thought about taking a train to the game, but didn't think he would start. Smh.
Adams does well to cover the left CM area and puts pressure on the ball so the FB has an easy tackle to make.
Adams looks very comfortable out there. He's not been perfect, but he's shown some nice touches under pressure. The ability to find and create space is a nice skill to have and is a relatively new feature of his game.
nothing to show for it, but adams manages to dribble out of pressure as the last man back in his own half and play some clever combinations that ultimately almost put a rbl attacker on goal. Impressive
I started watching at the beginning of the 2nd half and haven't seen Adams do much wrong. He's playing quick, clean passes through midfield, winning 50/50s, and helping close down players when Nurnberg get near the Leipzig box.
Adams should have taken one more long dribble towards goal before delivering that ball. He had outpaced the defender easily, and there was no reason to give up the ball so soon.
Laimer inexplicably ruined all of that work. I think he's been really poor. Adams has already bursted over to cover his side earlier.
He is certainly, without doubt, in the best form for club right now. There is no way to get around that.
The only other thing I'd like to see with Adams this season is a good performance against one of the better teams in the league. I feel like every game I've seen him, he's looked good, but it's been against teams in the bottom half of the table with Leipzig comfortably in control of the game. If I'm remembering correctly, he didn't play against Dortmund (or was only a very late sub).
sabitzer a good sub. He looked like he was on the verge of overheating after disagreeing with a lot of calls
