Jeezus, I forgot the second leg was tonight. Oh well, sounds like they took care of business anyway... and that Royer was frustrating. One day the Red Bulls will get some consistent attacking options other than BWP, but I won't beg the soccer gods for much more than what they currently have which is depth and talent EVERYWHERE else. Also, dammit Murillo. Don't know if I want a road game or home game with him out.
I didn’t think so. But it was funny of the 3 penalty shouts, the most obvious foul was the one Gantar didn’t give.
True. In my defense, I thought I had typed "took two penalties", but apparently somewhere from my brain to fingers it got edited. In my defense, I was editing photos from a baseball game, and I'd had nothing to drink.
Two games tonight Atlanta (1) vs. Herediano (3), 8:00 p.m. EST Toluca (0) vs. Sporting Kansas City (3), 10:00 p.m. EST
I've learned in these forums you need to be precise with the language and specify things as if you were talking to autistic kids. So it's better to refer to a round of "penalty kicks" to decide a winner as "kicks from the spot" since they are not actually a penalty for anything.
After a lot of early tournament disrespect by UDN, it's good to see that finally two games featuring MLS teams are on tv. I get it, the Copa MX probably brings more ratings but damn you could've at least shown some of those early round games on tape delay the next day or something. I would look for it and they would show a replay of the Copa MX match instead. Anyway--lest this posting sound too negative, i am grateful for tonight.
Or one should just read what one posted and look for errors. I think if I had posted as I had intended, nobody here would've been confused if I'd had typed "took two penalties". As it should be obvious that the shootout takes a bare minimum of three penalties (or six depending on how you parse it).

Free Brek. It has to be somewhat frustrating to be one of his coaches. He just could never put it all together.
This is what we're used to seeing when we go to LigaMX stadiums for second legs. People who think MLS isn't progressing are deluding themselves.
