As I said, I don't really follow the club. I was only going by what was written here. But thx for all your insight.
EPB was not better, not worse than the other CBs in previous outings. When you're a loanee, and more so in a club whose manager is not happy with the entire development-club situation, you have to be clearly better. Now he was clearly better. We'll see if reason rules over emotion.
EPB starts again. 1️⃣1️⃣ | De basisopstelling van NAC voor het duel tegen Vitesse. 👇#NACpraat #vitNAC pic.twitter.com/qOFghZu2Sa— NAC Breda 💛🖤 (@NACnl) March 2, 2019
Breda down 3-1 near the end, and EPB partly to blame for the first two: first one he got tricked badly by Buitink, second was scored in a free kick by the guy he was supposed to be marking (vdWerff). Klomp got a red and now 10-man Breda down 4-1.
Dunno about this one. Thought the scorer got to the ball because the man closest to/behind him let him go unchecked to the ball.
Not a good game for EPB IMO. Half of the time he was standing marking no one, waiting for the play to happen. Maybe he was instructed to play a sweeper role but I doubt it. Highlights in lousy quality:
The match could have easily turned out differently if NAC had more luck in the first half. Vitesse in the first half were vulnerable and I doubt they would be able to turn the match around if NAC (what they deserved tbh) had a 2 goals lead. However when you're already in the corner where the punches land it isnot easy to get out of it.
Voetbal Primeur lays most of the blame for the Vitesse match with Patrick van Anholt He was awarded a place in the flop team of the week.
