Koscielny could die on the field and emery would play him the next game. Going defensive with 35 minutes to play and up 2-0...against Southampton. His house must have 5 layers of barbwire fencing, a full security team, trenches and a moat full of alligators he's so defensive
Ozil sighting! The player we all seemingly wish was leaving comes on to replace the player many of wish was staying.
Game has settled into a lull. Southampton have no formal offensive nous, Arsenal appear unwilling to break the bank chasing a 3rd.
78' Get the feeling everyone in the stadium, traveling fans included, would be content blowing the whistle early and letting us all get on with our days.
The Suarez loan makes no sense, at this point. He hasn't done anything. Would have rather had one of the young guys have that spot
Wasn't disappointed with them making the loan. Took a chance on a young (ish) guy with a positive history with Emery. Based on what we have seen so far, the loan has been a bust. If we pick up the option (especially with the rumored budget) then everyone in the FO should be fired.
First half was awesome. We pressed well, combined well, and just generally looked solid. Defense always looks like we are one pass away from a crisis, but Leno was immense today. That was more like what we've seen Emery's team capable of in the first half. The second half was poor. We let Saints come onto us and played on the break. Way too shaky at times, but at the same time, we should have added 3 or 4 to the score by the end of the game. We end the week on 4th, riding the momentum of two wins and decent performances.
Next two weeks can make or break the season. Only 7 points out of third, win the next two games and Arsenal could cut it to 4 or less. Go on another run and we could celebrate St Tottenhams Day this season.
Yeah, next two weeks are a huge opportunity. Chance to create some daylight between us and united and chance to gain ground on sperz
YES!!! I'm giddy to rub it in to all these shit-for-nothing bandwagon-jumping Scums fans and tell them all TO THEIR FACE (and while wearing one of my home AFC red kits) that North London IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE RED!!!
I have a better excuse than either Sarri or Klopp, I never paid any attention to posts about it, until it didn't happen. Didn't even pay much attention then.
Streamed this in a hotel breakfast room, during a family reunion, so wasn't able to watch it too closely. But I was greatly appreciative that in the 2nd half it didn't really look too likely that we'd give up 3pts. And on further reflection, we claimed our 2nd straight clean sheet. For our defense this year that's absolutely huge! Onward.
