Turkish women's cup 25/02 to 06/03 Group A : India Romania Turkmenistan Ouzbekistan Group B : Jordania, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, France B
India! That's quite the addition - you don't see them playing non-AFC teams very often at all! If I'm not mistaken, their last FIFA match against a non-AFC team was way back in a four-team tournament they hosted in 1994 that included Hungary and Chile. They played a non-FIFA match against Morocco in Spain as part of the women's Cotif Cup last year, though. (It's a tournament that mostly features Spainish club teams, plus a couple of mid-low-tier NTs.)
Does FIFA not make the list of fixtures and results available anymore on their website? Is there any other site to find the full list?
They used to have a fixtures/results at FIFA.com - now have to get the App I guess? Try this (I have not yet tried), thanks!
I have. it's only the live scores. can't look ahead for fixtures. And the men's & women's used to be separate.
whereas Majri plays at outside mid in Lyon, she goes back to left FB for NT(which is what position Bacha plays at Lyon) Plus another left back, Karchaoui made this squad as well overall, a very impressive, injury free squad, got to accept that the Deacon not into more experimenting with newbies & is quite please with Thiney as their central mid despite whatever bad rep she previously warranted. I think Deacon's main problem is peaking too fast & will she have any ,other surprises left in her arsenal? All I can think of is she hasn't yet used PSG's Diani & Katato together/at the same time. Deacon might just want to keep that as a wild card & wait till the WC in the meantime Germany looking at bit of a disaster. MVT I don't think was the right choice for them(perhaps another Jorgie type that will leave the flanks completely undefended?). missing do to injuries/illness..........Schult, Dallmann, Maier, Petermann, Kemme, Bremer
Not called up yet. A mix of having Majri/Karchaoui in front of her plus she also shares game time with Simon at club level. Morroni also a good left-back who deserve a chance. But the squad is more or less set. Diacre tried a lot of players for a year and a half and mentioned she has a 35 players list and the 23 are in this list.
Mmm... 2 GKs, 4 DFs, 7 MF and 8 FWs??? Probably they think defense is not much needed against Jamaica and that it's better to call just goal-scorers?
Aphrodite Cup 2019 In Cyprus. Four teams: Cyprus, Estonia, Malta, Lithuania February 27 Estonia 0 - Malta 0 Cyprus 2 - Lithuania 1
Will France actually play with a 4-2-3-1 as suggested in this photo-line-up? I'll admit I am not up to date with recent France's strategies...
M.V-T vs. C.D -----1-------0----- By playing wide Germany forced France out of compact shape pulling many of their players into one sector of the field and thus openning space for runners to cut inside the center. France started 4-3-3 but switched to 4-4-2 after lost goal as they were losing battle in the middle and their 3 attacking players were ineffective up front anyway.
Missed most of the 2nd half. Any changes in the picture of play? Cuz to me it looked like Germany preparation train for WWC is right on track with extra cars ready to be collected if needed and with no delays while French engine still has some issues with cars coupling and it's time table may be delayed.
Aphrodite Cup 2019 March 2 Cyprus 1 - Estonia 0 Malta 2 - Lithuania 2 FINAL STANDINGS 1. Cyprus (6pts) 2. Malta (5pts) 3. Estonia (4pts) 4. Lithuania (1pt)
Nice little tournament: although it only involved minor teams, it was very well balanced, it seems, since there were no wins with more than one goal separating the two teams. A good counterpoint to Cyprus Cup, on the same island in the same days.
