Big football nations are so successfull because they have good scouting systems.
It doesnt make sense to have the best universities if your students suck.

This guy is gifted, we are not asking for benching James and playing him. It is just a call-up for a microciclo, then we will see.

For Cucho he needs to go to this cup unless he is a starter for us by Copa America time. Him as 4th striker at Copa América or 1st choice at U20. Also we can’t get knocked out in group stages.

The U20 getting out of group stages and having a good showing can get more of his team mates transfers.

The big goal is Qatar WC. Cucho is a similar situation as James had. Tho He isn’t 1/5th as promosing. James played the WC because it was in a colombia. This time it’s not but our players this WC aren’t half as good as the 2011 team. Wouldn’t they still have Had Quintero?

You of all people are one of the proponents of having a huge callup for March and having as many people be tried out as possible in the Japan and Kprea friendlies
Using that logic he should be a part of the Senior team especially based on what he did in the last friendly in New Jersey.
And if he hypothetically plays in one or both of those games in Asia and impresses, you seriously think Queiroz is going to say sorry kid you have to go to Poland and play in a youth tournament.
Not to mention he has the same problem I have been mentioning before. We don't even know if his club team will allow him to go to Poland.

Now I am hearing that Reyes really wants to bring in Cucho and Sinisterra and claims that Cucho wants to play in the Mundial after speaking with him
I guess the club teams are playing nice which is good for Reyes.
I personally don't think that should happen but if it is what Cucho wants and the Federation wants so be it.

Maybe with his play making ability and creativity it will open things up.
But without a creative midfielder to provide him the service it could be more suffering even if Cucho plays the games of his life.

I know you guys don't like Mier, but he was very good during this Championship and was chosen as the best goalkeeper.

Cucho can be important, but there are ways that his absence can be patched. If Sinisterra goes there are still some interesting forwards that are worth a try, like Juan Perea from Porto, Jonathan Urrutia from Fortaleza, Johar Franco from América and Andrés Amaya from Huila who has shown a lot of progress lately. Also the call up of guys like Deiber Caicedo, Jhon Quiñones Saya and Juan Lobo can give us much needed flair in the wings and midfield.

This is obviously if Cucho is called Up by Queiroz.

the world cup is a FIFA tournament, so in that case I don't think clubs have a choice in that case.

Club teams are under no obligation to send players to Youth World Cups this summer.
FIFA dates and mandatory callups apply only to the Senior teams.

Another thing we are not even talking about is that It may all hinge on if Huesca gets close enough to the relegation safety zone. Their final match is the 19th of May. The World Cup is May 23.
They are so bad they may be eliminated way before but if they miraculously get on a hot streak they may just say no to Reyes at the end of the day. And he needs to know relatively soon because official rosters are due way before May 23rd.

That is still 4 days. I mean it’s a long trip but he doesn’t have to play the 1st game

So 4 days + 3 for 2nd game not enough time? Especially if he wants to be with the team?

Also Watford owns him not Huesca. They will get more money if he is the best player or top scorer at the WC then saving Huesca

I imagine that ideally Reyes would want Cucho to train with the team in friendlies or training camps so he can get some chemistry and cohesion with other players. Not have him fly in a couple days before the tournament. But who knows?

Also Huesca does have a say until the loan is over.

Huesca is a full 6 points off relegation and alone in last place

I don't think they will be competing for anything in the last week. My guess is that they let him go a week early

I mean I wouldn’t mind if they get hot. He finally starts a scoring streak for them and is in top form come the WC.

So you Reyes was on fox sports radio and Ian poveda pretty much out of the picture doesn’t even wanna give the kid a shot because he’s been with England and Salcedo apparently stopped responding to him in November when he tried to get him for the 2 games against Brazil.

I dont think nationalism is the way to go here. If the kid wants to play for us, let him.

usa isnt relevant in football and their preceding shouldnt care....despite you live there.

on the other hand, i hope that we dont lose those players from the radar....im sure poveda will scored us then in a world cup.

ps: carriazo from caldas also rejected our called up......in october.............i think that these guys salcedo, poveda and carriazo are very confused.......in the case of poveda and salcedo maybe are afraid that their chances and oportunties get limited for beign "young foreigners"
