I'll never like Smalling because he treats the ball like a grenade. You can actively see him have a panic attack everytime it's at his feet.

It's being rumored that PSG have trained and will go with a 4-2-3-1 today, with the team as followed: Buffon, Kehrer, Thiago Silva, Kimpembe, Bernat, Verratti, Marquinhos, Dani Alves, Draxler, Di Maria, Mbappé Super gassed as well for today's game. The game should be entertaining with PSG not looking to park the bus, the atmosphere at OT should be mad. Have a good feeling on this one and can't wait for it.
Tuchel will allow his team to attack and be positive going forward at some phase they may sit deep but Tuchel DNA is offensive football and they still have good enough playees to cause us many problem and DiMaria mbappe draxler Verratti can score golazos aswell so they are not limited to trickey quick feet pace or counter attacking football.
For a lot of our players this is a first. The likes of Martial/Rashford/Shaw/Lindelof/Lingard even Herrera (Bilbao played in Europa League) will need to play their game without letting the occasion get to them. The game has been hyped way over than it needs to be, it won't help our first timers out there. Lineup: De Gea Young (I'd prefer Dalot, but Young is a leader now in the team and today it is needed) Bailly (I'd take him over any defender, he is liable for a shit show giving away a PK or getting red card but so are Jones and Smalling lol) Lindelof (We need a big game from him versus Mbappe) Shaw (he needs to be alert and give that extra bit especially in his awareness. His performances have gotten better slowly) Matic Pogba Herrera Lingard Rashford Martial
Solskjaer in programme: ‘These are the nights we live for at this club. It’s a massive Champions League game against a great opponent, under the floodlights in a fantastic stadium with the best fans in the world cheering us on.’ #mufc pic.twitter.com/X6AbKf5lZW— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) February 12, 2019 The game may be hyped a great deal, but overhyped? Not a chance: even without Neymar and Cavani, this is still a big matchup between 2 big teams in Europe. The big game feel is palpable. Not to mention, it's the first time we've reached this phase of the competition since Moyes was in charge. It's just a big deal. The players need to not let the occasion get the better of it, but at the same time the hope is that the moment, the crowd will push them to greater heights
If you watch PSG you will see they don't have a set formation, even inside the XI that will start. They switch from 442 to 352, to 343 to 433. They attacked Lyon in 352 and defended in a 442.
A lot more teams are doing this now. It makes even more sense for them given the lightweight Verratti in midfield and an actual CB in midfield as well. I don't watch enough (any) PSG really so I'm coming in blind, but on paper, we match up well with them. I think obviously on form, Martial and Rashford are a handful for any set of defenders, given opportunity or space. Lingard's movement is almost guaranteed to open up some space and Pogba and Herrera vs their midfield will be an intriguing battle. I expect them to have close to or more than half of possession, especially if we play the diamond but the opportunities for Pogba breaking forward will be there.
United XI: De Gea; Young, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; Matic, Herrera; Lingard, Pogba, Martial; Rashford. Subs: Romero, Jones, Dalot, Fred, Mata, Alexis, Lukaku.
Perfect lineup for today. Go get 'em boys. PSG XI: Buffon, Kehrer, Silva, Kimpembe, Bernat, Marquinhos, Verratti, Alves, Draxler, Di Maria, Mbappe
High risk/high reward. I think particularly with Alves and AdM there will be opportunities to advance the ball down the flanks if the FBs advance. If they do leave space those CBs will get exposed. How would you play? 4231? JL 10? 433 with JL on the left?
Definitely would keep Ander a little conservative in the opening. But keep the 433. Just think Lingard is going to have to cover a shit ton of ground.

Some united fans on social media are getting too optimistic and flashing 4-0 predictions.. Calm guys, need a win 2-0 will do..
Don't care one bit for score predictions: what I'm hoping for is that we can at least get a 2 goal cushion to take to Paris. Anything more would be welcome obviously, but it's gravy really. But going up 2 goals clear will give us a legitimate chance of going thru.
