Seriously, Mexico needs to go back to playing WCQ in the afternoon

...unless Montagliani gets his way and WCQ for the 48-team World Cups has us all playing in the same round, UEFA-style. In that case, Mexico will only have to show up for two games to qualify, while the rest will be Chicharito and co. padding their stats against Aruba and the Bahamas

That was easily Mexico's weirdest Gold Cup run: an underwhelming win against a debutant Nicaragua, a straight-up circus against Panama, a run-of-the-mill win against Guadeloupe, inaugurating Jerry Jones' new digs with a romp over Haiti in front of a sold-out crowd (again: 80k+ to watch Mexico's B team against Haiti ), crushing Costa Rica's hopes of finally winning a Gold Cup on penalties, then that 5-0 that had my Costa Rican neighbors mocking me the rest of the day
