I had leftover pizza for lunch today. I'm sure it wasn't "locally sourced." I have a feeling it wasn't GMO-free, certified 100% eco-friendly whatever. It sure as heck wasn't vegan. I'm sure I couldn't taste the 37 unique flavors between the ingredients, the topping, the spices in the sauce and whatever else. But ya know what? It shut my stomach up for a couple hours. Isn't that the main point of food?? Then again, I switched from Hostess to TastyKake as soon as I saw they were available in Ohio. Not that I eat them every day, but when I need a fix of sweet chocolate...and it does the same thing as some sort of $5 handcrafted "artisan" local bite-sized thing where you leave with an empty wallet and an empty stomach.
No, the point of food is to brag about it. Actually, now that I think about it, bragging is the point of a lot of things in life. Partner, sports team, bank account, piety etc. This is not a great timeline.
Except it was Jardy who recommended buying the book. Minute 4. Edit to change the link. Hear from @DispatchAlerts #CrewSC beat reporter @Jacob_Myers_25, sports columnist @MichaelArace1, and staff photographer @KRobPhoto on the newest episode of the @ColumbusCrewSC Soccer Speakeasy podcast.https://t.co/UtXpb6Dsjk— Patrick Flaherty (@thepodfather2) February 8, 2019
Is it a clean beer tap or one with some beer residue in it to flavor the coffee/add a hint of alcohol?
And Tastykake is faaaaar better than Hostess.... Too bad you can't get Tastykake baked pies here. Those are really good. Mrs KG and I stock up when we go through PA (which isn't that often anymore). But when they tried to copy Hostess, when Hostess went under, they only sell the fried pies, like Hostess, here in Ohio.
Dang it Bill! You take back anything bad about Maui Jim right this instant! Some of the best Warranty/Customer Service on the planet! And the Ks are not happy either! Although I don't think they care about customer service or ... well probably anything but themselves.
Little Debbie rules. Absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever. Just beet sugar, cheap trans fats and artificial chemical preservatives. Yum.
When Mook was maybe five or six, we didnt have a pot to piss in. I'd come home from work and he always wanted to go kick a soccer ball with me. We'd go over to this green space near our place and just play. Next to the field there was a storage place surrounded by a chain link fence. The same time we were there, a Little Debbie driver who used one of the spaces would often show up to load, unload, whatever the heck. He used to watch us and then toss us a few boxss of Little Debbie cakes. Maybe a day or so past dated but whatever. Turned out he was Romanian and just dug seeing a kid kicking a ball with his dad. Meanwhile, we filled out a bunch of school lunches with the crap he gave us. Saved us some money which we really needed. Speak ill of Little Debbie and you will answer to me.
Delicious when I was 10. Horrible now that I'm pushing 50. I'll admit it was a joy to find in the bottom of a brown lunch bag.
Nickles will always be king for me. My grandfather worked there for forty-five years after the war. You can even find that he worked at Nickles attaches to hid interview in the Last Battle book. My job takes me through Navarre a handful of times throughout the year. Driving past the headquarters and thrift store reminds me of him.
I apologize profusely for the typos. This week has been long, and today is only Monday. I cannot be the only one that loves Archer’s stories about things dealing with his kids. After all the many stories over the years, I feel as though if I met one of his boys, then the experience would be similar to reuniting with an old friend.
I'm surprised that no one has made any comment on the Browns, our sister team, have signed Kareem Hunt, who is on tape kicking a woman and is currently on the commissioners suspended list. I guess the key takeaway is that unless and until Hunt is cleared of any charges he wont be playing. Still, I am not entirely comfortable with the signing. I do not draw a lot of lines in life but physically assaulting a woman is my big one. You just don't. If you want to kick or hit or punch someone who can do the same right back to you, hey, go with God. Doing that shit to someone who cannot possibly do you harm makes you a coward, and, frankly, morally reprehensible. If this was a he said she said, maybe I could see it. Wait until the evidence is in and go from there. But in this case theres video, its ugly, and it leaves no room for interpretation. Im shocked that Dee will sit still for this.
I thought I was going... but apparently my dad didn’t RSVP when he asked me if I wanted to go.. So we’re out
I'm not surprised by Hunt signing with someone. He led the league in rushing in 2017. The woman he shoved wasn't his girlfriend or someone he knew, ie not DV. She was a party crasher at some party he was hosting at a hotel in Cleveland. It's not surprising the police declined to file charges. Hunt clearly used more force than necessary but if he'd had one of his posse give her the bum's rush instead of doing it himself, nobody would say a thing.
