Four Wednesday home games is still too many, but it's better than last year. Edit: I hadn't been keeping track of the controversy surrounding the Furries' sanctioning for 2019. What a mess. I hope they can stay in USL--as fellow members of the NASL entering class of 2014, they have a tie to Indy going back to the beginning. Plus, I like making fun of their name (childish, I know).
I just put all the games on my paper calendar. Wow! The Eleven have a tough end of the season. From September 4 through October 5 Indy has 9 games in those five weeks. That is 4 home and 5 away over those 32 days.
Wow, that is a lot to ask of any team at any level, and especially a lot to ask of a lower-division team.
The 2019 U.S. Open Cup schedule is out. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...unt-us-open-cup-format-and-schedule-finalized The tournament starts with Round 1 on May 7 or 8. Indy will start the tournament in Round 2 on May 14 or 15 and then possibly advance to Round 3 on May 29. Both of those games could be against other USL-C teams. MLS teams don't enter until Round 4 on June 12.

Hey Indy Supporters. I was thinking of coming out on your September 14th game and then head down to Cincy for their September 18th game. Never been to Indy. I like to check out sports venues of all sports (including the Speedway) and local universities campuses. What else would locals say is a can't miss thing to see and what can be skipped. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Really depends on your interests. If you like art, for example, the Indianapolis Museum of Art (now in a complex called Newfields) has an excellent collection, is a manageable size, has beautiful grounds, and is near Butler University. But if you're not into art, it's definitely skippable. Mass Ave and Fountain Square near downtown and Broad Ripple about 50 blocks north of downtown are fun areas for restaurants and bars. Depending on the game schedule, I'd encourage you to go to the Chatham Tap on Mass Ave (or alternatively Union Jack's in Broad Ripple) for a Premier League match on Sunday morning. Both have good beer and good food and draw good crowds for games (I'm partial to the Chatham Tap myself, but both are great).
----------------- Thanks ! I also just located the Brickyard Battalion website so will be checking it all out
It's only preseason, and early preseason at that, but scoring three goals to beat an MLS club is always good. Indy has added some significant attacking talent this winter. My biggest concern is the midfield, especially the attacking midfield. Rennie's style of play never seemed to favor moving the ball through midfield to begin with, and Indy lost significant midfield talent with Mares's return to Miami and Speas's loan to NCFC. Pasher apparently played well in the midfield for the tail end of this match, and if he can stay healthy this year it will go a way toward filling the midfield gap.
Some Indy Eleven game dates will be changing because the Colts home schedule has been released. https://www.indyeleven.com/news_article/show/1013839 This article says that the new dates are still being worked out.
