JoJo seems to have raised his game lately, at least he seems more dangerous than what I remember in the Hinrunde. Plus, playing with brother has to add some chemistry that Sargent doesn’t have. JoJo ain’t a bad player, Sargent has work cut out for him to get more playing time at Werder. That being said, it did suck that coach chose to sub in Pizarro instead of Sargent, since the game was essentially over. I would want to protect that old fella from any chance of injury. Plus, he just worked his magic in the last Pokal game against the tragic Puli.
Young player who by no means has earned the right to play in every single game gets some minutes in a Bundesliga game? And we're upset and doomsaying? Guy played a few minutes. Team had a successful week. He's adding to his experience each time he's out there. The coach could have given him Pizarro's minutes - he could also have given Sargent's minutes to someone else. We're mostly only thinking about Sargent; he's not.
Lol not worth it, but holly hell thanks to the saint that does those videos!!! The discussion of sargents playing has been going on since the academy thread. Since the coach isnt going to be fired and sargent has two to three players ahead of him in the coaches eye. Most notably a young player they are trying to devlop called eggstein. The writing on the wall really is clear as day.
anytime you can put in a 40 year old over a 18 year old financial asset, you gotta do it!! the issue is, the 18 year old has looked good in his limited minutes. So, with the game in hand, put him in, and continue to mold your asset that you hope to sell for a lot of money.
If you're still in the hunt for the EL places, you put in the guy who's most likely to get you the goals to get you there (either in this game directly or by keeping him match-fit for the next game). The revenue from the EL group stage alone will bring you a lot more than a theoretical upgrade on a 19 year-old with Sargent's profile.

Bremen already down 1-0. Guess they'll bring Gramps Pizarro in the second to try to liven up their attack.
Sargent is the only player making smart runs right now. Everyone else is static, sitting on the back line. There's no way they score here. Pizarro is busy trying to hit hero throughballs that aren't ever coming off.
