Never have I rooted for Chel$ski to win a game but for tomorrow...

At least JoMo is no longer there...speaking of which...seems as though he "fell" off the planet since LFC beat his side a few months back...

He’s busy preaching the “I’m a winner and they only play pretty football” motif. Pity the skanks sacked him that early— always knew there was a decent team underneath there at the skip. Solskjaer’s results after weeks of incessant Mourinho clamour for new defenders has certainly shut up even his most ardent defenders.

Hopefully that experiment of Salah down the middle is ended. I assume Keita will play more through the centre than off the flanks, too.

Jordan Spieth carded a 7 on #18 at Pebble Beach and you want more posts.

I played there once...shot 84, with 2 birdies when my handicap was 12. Good times.

I once scored a 2 on a par 5. Well I hit a tree on my tee shot and it fell on the next green....so I played it out.

    And I’ll add:

The only people at Anfield who look like they are feeling the pressure of a title race are the fans. It was a morgue at times prior to Sadie’s opener.

The players, on the other hand, played with the type of confidence and nerve that you’d expect from contenders.

I thought the crowd was much better yesterday. Last week, against Leicester, was painful with groans and moans punctuation each and every error.

Yeah, I felt it over in the left coast of the us. I may have joined a couple of those groans. Although mrs Scouse said I scared the dog yelling.

I think Salah is equally effective in both positions. He had some brilliant games at center forward.

The key is that the 4-3-3 (with Salah on the right) suits Keita and Firmino better. The front 6 that started yesterday was the best that we have, and the formation suited them all beautifully.

The switch to 4-2-3-1 originally made sense because Keita was injured and the Gini-Hendo-Milner midfield wasn’t creating enough. It was a formation that allowed Shaqiri into the team. It was also the formation that Fabinho played at Monaco, so he was able to start to get games as well. I think it is also why Keita struggled when he became available again, because he had no role in the 4-2-3-1.

We really found something yesterday with the 4-3-3. Fabinho now has mastered the #6 role. Gini was in top form despite having the shits, and Naby Keita was doing the role that Klopp imagined him doing over two years ago when he first decided we would sign him. Our front 3 were back to doing the stuff they did last season.

Going forward, we will have Shaqiri, Henderson, and Milner as good options off the bench.

Right MF, front three firing again, its all good. Did the business and put pressure on Citeh that the chavs utterly wasted today. Back on track and ready to march on.

I just watched the highlights now.
I've watched every match in the CL/PL where we've not won and only seen a handful of victories - so I think I'm going to stay away from the television for a bit...

About scoring goals: Liverpool has scored 2.27 goals per match. Other than Citeh, the closest team is Spurs at 2.07 goals per match. Spurs have conceded 10 more goals than Liverpool.

We know that the defense is the reason for the league-leading record and there is little reason to think that the defense will fail in the long run.

One match at a time. That's the key.

The ball is good but any good player could execute that. The trick is bringing it into your control like Wijnaldum did. And then finishing with the only touch possible. He did that with the aplomb of a Torres/Suarez/Salah.... bloody brilliant...

I only saw the game last night having been out of town and waiting to watch it and not looking at anyone's texts....

great to see us power back......

losing one game 1-0 between now and the end of the season would hardly be a "defensive failuire" but it might conceivably be enough to do us in if City were to stay winning. So, whether it's defence or attack that does it, the bigger key is to outplay our opponents.

I think if we win our next two games (Bayern and Old Trafford) a real surge of power football will have started and will continue....

I've been in that situation where you are running full tilt and can't get the ball out from under your feet to swing at it, and you can't go to the side because of a defender on your back. I'd have gone closer to the keeper there and toe-whacked it at the last moment.... best option, I think.... The power of the toe whack will prob beat the keeper's speed reflexes.... 50-50 or 60-40 maybe ...
But you have to make that decision early to set yourself.
