Bournemouth is better than their record. A tie isn't good enough, no matter what other teams do.

The timidity of the last two matches has to be addressed and banished, and quick.

    Win.

It’s crucial to get 3 points. A good performance would be nice as well to get the confidence going. After this match we get another 10 day break before Bayern Munich come to Anfield on a Tuesday followed by a trip to Old Trafford on a Sunday. This is when we need to show that we are up for this.

Henderson, Wijnaldum, AA and Lovren "should" be available for this game.

Got to agree here, these guys have had some unlucky moments this season.
I just hope that runs through Satuday. :)

Yeah, yeah, better than their record and all that. They were riding high (albeit injured) when we played them in their house and we smacked them in the mouth. No excuses for champions. WIN!

After two less than desirable results this is now a statement match. Batter them. Show the league we're top for a reason.

Its becoming hard to control my anger especially at my job because there are a few City fans. They like to temp me into getting pissed off, but no i shall remain strong. Really hope the guys can pull through for this bournemouth game. I know they can do it.

Has to happen. Anything less than a resounding win will not be enough to show we are title contenders. Need a strong bounce back to regain confidence.

I would take a calm controlled win by a couple of goals as well.

After a lot of Sulking and Denial about City having clawed us back in,I'm ready to stop feeling sorry for myself/ourselves and get back on the Horse and Enjoy the Run in giving it our ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!!!!!..A lot of the Agony & angst with the Fan base is really not nervousness,it's just that this Team team is too special to NOT Win eventually and wanting our Heroes to succeed so badly...The Media can call 2 successive 1-1 draws a catastrophe but the fact of the matter is we could be 15 points ahead at this stage and still fear being reeled in by City/Spurs cause they are Quality teams and it ain't over till match day 38....In spite of City's resurgence and our wee blip as Robbo calls it we won't be in a better position to win the league so let's all baton down the hatches and GET BEHIND OUR BOYS WITH ALL OUR MIGHT....City will Falter again with 4 fronts coming at them its upto us to Finally make the Gap substantial starting Saturday VS Bournemouth...This Team's Peak doesn't end here,With the right acquisitions and shrewd strategy we can dominate English Football for years to come and WE WILL.

    YNWA.

Liverpool still have the destiny of the title in their own hands, having played a game fewer than the leaders, and their recent wobble and City’s return to the top may be the kick up the backside they required, forcing them to regroup, refocus and make sure they push on and win the league. Equally City will be saying: “We led before and gave it away – let’s not do that again.”

It isn't really in their sphere of influence to affect that scenario...
    jeez...
Imagine being tasked with writing this drivel....

Trent, Henderson, and Gini all trained yesterday. We don’t know if they will be ready to start.

Lovren is still out. Our next game after this is Bayern in which we have no options at centerback and we don’t know if Lovren is back for that one either. He was on the bench for one of our recent games and has now disappeared again. After calling himself the best defender in the world he has been a complete non factor this season. He is constantly injured and it’s never clear exactly what is wrong with him. It seems pretty obvious that we need another centerback this summer. None of Virgil’s potential partners can be trusted to remain fit.

Back issue which he played through at the World Cup because of Croatia's deep run!!!...Klopp was rightfully peeved about it at the beginning of the Season but was a no factor because of Gomez's superb Form.

He doesn't have a back issue. The last report was a hamstring injury that occurred in the Wolves game. I am guessing that they are being extra careful due to Gomez's situation - so with Matip fit they want to give Lovren another week.

Normally this would be a perfect match to give him more time. Now it's mandatory and we still don't have a defense we can count on.

Firmino and Salah need this match to break out of their funk. Mane can't score every goal, you know. Midfield needs to get them the ball in good positions.

There has been a fair amount of sensationalism about Liverpool’s fall from the summit. How it portends to a club losing its bottle, don’t know how to last the course and so on. Most of it bollocks.

But there is one criticism that does hold water and it goes to the crux of the slump or wobble. It’s a fair shout that the goals haven’t been pouring in as they were last season. Good, no doubt, but not as freewheeling we were. But in that absence, VVD and his rock solid mates have bailed us out. So 1-0 or an edgy 2-1 has often won the day. But the defense has become less secure, and 1-0 isn’t good enough anymore. And we’ve not shown the City nous to score for fun.

So either the defense reverts or the attack does. Preferably both.

That is my concern too Samarkand...where have all our goals gone...I long for the days where we scored three or four every time out...

    Need to get that back.
